after taking 12 hours they asked for instructions on charging him with manslaughter. many hours after that, the jury ruled that there was not enough evidence to charge him with manslaughter or murder, and just barely.

and even then, they almost didn't even get that. like happens in most cases, it ended up with 5 jurors pressuring one other.
