Switching from soil to aero 60. Please help with inputs and advices

I have been reading a lot about aeroponic and their advantages such as faster grow rate etc,
ive only done one grow before and that was in soil, turned out pretty ok for my first time, that's where I learnt you gotta treat them like your babies, I'm planning on getting an aeroflow60 with tops 1200watt hps, perhaps 2x 400w and 2x250w to spread the light around ( not looking to go higher in case heat gets out of hand) haven't researched on the strain yet but I read a few things about critical mass don't know if it's any good?? My overall aim is to get at least an ounce from each plant, is that too far fetched with the aero system or isit more complicated than I think?.. Please any advice and inputs, it would be greatly appreciated as I'm stuck in a pickle!

Start small is all I can say...unless your using crap soil the gain was in my experience not worth it. But it all depends on the strain...just go to seedfinder to see if it likes lots of neuts...the more the better for that kind of growing.

What strain would you suggest, online there's a lot of them saying this is good for big yields and that but how do you know without the experience of the strain?

The best yielding, easy to grow plants that I have grown are probably Bomb seeds THC Bomb which is Indica dominate and finishes in around 8-9 weeks, and Dutch Passion Ultimate which is a Sativa, and finishes in 12-13 weeks. Both are killer smoke. I have never heard of a 1200 watt fixture, only a 1000, which is what I would go for until you get your temps straightened out. It will do a 5x5 area nicely, and if you need more you can always add more, if you have the power available. Peace

I meant a 1000 watt and 250 watt , I will definitely look into it ! Even if it's hydro will it take 8-9 weeks or can i go straight form veg to flowering? Btw will a 1000watt make the area really hot?

Overall my conclusion is to grow in a closet with a 1000 watt with 6-8 plants and all aeroponics, for 2.5 months tops, what do you think the output would be?? Opinions are greatly valued

You will yield much more and work much much less with a lower plant count. Coming from experience, go with fewer plants with more veg time and be able to enjoy it. I went from 21 plants with 2-3 weeks veg to 9 & 12 site systems with 3-5 weeks veg and yields where 30-40% more and work load was 60-70% less when you consider cloning, vegging, maintenance in flower, then trimming. Oh man, just wait until you have to trim that many small plants.

Well if you only need that much then go ahead and work hard for it, lol, my last harvest was 42oz from 11 plants and I harvest every three weeks.

I suggested you start with less plants, it really is a shitload of work. Just trying to pass it on, been there.

His material seems risky though, if I get caught with that shit, them pigs won't care if it's grown or not, them muvatuckers just care about the amount of plants there is :/

I just think it's kind of risky, keeping a few plants on rotation unless I had the proper space for it.

You are talking 60 plants, I have 36-40 in flower and 10-25 in clone /veg. So just how you do it, all are different.
