Just 1 600w hps. Light reaching all budsites as I trimmed the leaves. They look better each day, & I've got to say, the dehumidifier helps take the "bad" smell away. The RH is now 42% lights off & 35% lights on. Is that ok?

Now that you have the R/H controlled at night you should be on the lookout for bud rot. Once it starts its hard to get rid of, even at a R/H of 35%. Its starts by looking like your leaves are starting to die on the top colas, then they start to crisp up, if you look closely at the leaf, open the bud where that leaf is and look at the inners and stem. Bud rot looks like grey mold in the beginning and later in the stage it gets mushy and slimy. Look at your girls closely and you should be O.K. JAS

Your buds will absorb the smell from the grow area.
I know some one that grows in the moldy smelling basement. There smoke allways has the moldy after taste to it.

Could just be the way the bud smells, as it going through it's stages.

I had some Kush forgot the Cross, it smelled like dog shit about 4-5 wks in flower.

when i grew TGA vortex it really smelled like wet baby diaper poop. maybe mangos buried in baby poop! but if it really smells like adult feces that doesn't sound right at all.

Could just be a pheno of the strain. I had a plant over the summer that everytime you rubbed the stem it smelled like someone just dropped a big ol duce. I had to pull it because it turned out to be a male.

depending on the strain you'll get different phenotypes. my vortex's had more of a sativa look to them. thin leaves as opposed to big fat indica looking leaves.

Yeah, leaves are quite thin on that one. No signs of budrot.....safe for now I think. Shitty smell has went away ...just smells damn good now!!
