lowering room tem when flowering?

I'm flowering my plants an fuck is it taking so fucking long.... Now I got to thinking about how most plants are ready to harvest around late October an that leads me to think I might be able to force my plants into thinking there is not much time left intill they freeze to death. Last month of flowering plants leaves start turning yellow just like a tree in the fall. So my question stands at will this work? Have u done this with good results? This isn't questionable I have to foce my plants into a harvest able NOW!

70° is what the room runs at now thinking of lower a half degree a day till I see results any thoughts on how I should proceed?

What strain are you running, and how long has it been in flower...and to answer your question, I usually take mine straight from 75-80F to 65F and at night it gets to 55F and I have great results...remember to keep a good breeze blowing because lower temps may cause PM (powdery mold) but it also locks out P in the final stages to get some nice blues and oranges depending on your strain, and remember if you're running a sativa, they can take up to 4-5 months for a landrace sativa to finish flowering...and make sure you have total darkness for your 12/12....good luck and welcome to RIU...

If you're going to try it, I think that's too slow. 30 days would only give you a 15° drop. I'd go one or two degrees a day. I think the plant can only mature so fast, regardless of conditions.

My basement was always really cold and when lights turned off temps would dip down to 55 fahrenheit. I did notice some blue and purple but for some reason during the drying and curing stage my buds took on a more tanned hue.

28 WEEKS NOW. There sativa plants. I am moving an I can't move theses 5 ft plants along with me. This has to be a natural event bc it obviously gets colder as the fall months progress, that's why you get the yellowish leaves just like trees. I just want to have the temps without throwing the plant into a dying shock. I'll never start flowering a 3 an half ft plant again, not inside atleast.

The leaves on weed plants do not go yellow because of cold.

Besides, you do not want to have the same conditions as outside. There is not much natural about growing inside with a light.

By the way, temps between 60 and 70 are where powdery mildew blooms.
My backyard is a powdery mildew factory. I keep my temps 70-80.

You let that one get too cold, it froze. :leaf:

Ya the plants pulling nutrition from the leaves into the buds same goes for a tree in the fall its pulling all its energy inside for the winter months... Trees in Florida never do this cycle. So in a way the leaves do turn yellow when to cold or just planly die off, for energy . I'm just trying to force this plan into thinking, if it doesn't hurry up its going to fail its main goal. Some ppl may think this isnt possible but im not going to take no for a answer intill i get what i need to no. ANYONE KNOW FOR SURE IF ITS POSSIBLE TO FORCE A PLANT INTO FASTER HAVESTING LOL?

RICKNSTON. did you just plant your plant's into soil after getting the seeds from a seed bank and they turned out with all those tricomes and shit.. I just bought a advanced seed called early widow an denfin white widow, cotton candy, and a rose. They all looked good from the pictures on addatuide seeds, I'm just wondering from my last grow where I just got some seeds from friends and planted them I didn't get hardly any triocmes I mean hardly any. I really want to know what you did completely if you can message me with your feed and soil an anything else you can provide me with I would appreciate it?
