I wonder what happens when somebody misses a payment? I wonder if it will affect a persons credit rating? and ability to get a house loan? And I wonder what happens when people can't pay there deductibles? If a banker asks you for your tax records and you have stumbled on your health care will that banker know about it? If that is true people better support that guy you voted for and PAY UP SUCKERS..

The solution is to free the market. Not the farce "freedom" that exists today. Crony capitalism is not a "free market", please don't confuse them.

Large corporations exist thru government protectionism and regulations. Regulations prevent growth and impede competition. With fewer people "allowed" by government in any given market, fewer opportunities to employ people exist.

Choice and freedom bring lower prices. Competition brings more innovative products.

On free trade generally: the goals are long term ones. You seem to be implying that the manufacturing exodus was caused by free trade and was thus preventable, but that is certainly not true. Start in the 1940s and 1950s. American manufacturing was booming because industrial capacity in Europe and Japan had most been destroyed by the war--there was huge demand for industrial exports. By the 1960s and 1970s, American manufacturing started to decline as domestic capacity elsewhere in the world had been fully rebuilt. Our share of the export market tumbled.

It's cheaper to make a million of something, per unit, than it is to make 10,000. With flagging export demand and flagging profits, all things being equal, manufacturers would have to increase their prices to survive. That tends to be a death spiral. Instead, everyone everywhere sought cost advantage. Cheaper goods have probably had more economic benefit for this country than maintaining a 1980s industrial capacity would have.

In the long term, the Chinese and other people throughout the world will become consumers able to buy American goods. Likewise, in the long term their cost advantages will disappear, as has already happened in some cases, which will spur relocation to the United States.

No, you've never seen what business does when it is unregulated. When was the last time it was unregulated? Also in a free market, the business is "regulated" by the two strongest feedback mechanisms there are... customer feedback and rational self interest.

The whole system would collapse WITHOUT the state? YES, the UNFREE crony capitalism market would collapse without the state. So would the UNFREE socialist, communist, fascist and any other ist you can think of. The STATE impedes trade, it does not facilitate free trade, it facilitates PROTECTED trade and cronyism.

Real free trade involves feedback from the consumer and permits (encourages) many and varied players into a given market. Given that an open and free market is competitive, service providers MUST provide value or they will lose customers. A monopolistic government doesn't have to provide good service, neither does a government protected crony capitalist so much.

The state exists to protect the interests of those people that work for it or derive some form of protectionism for it. It does not stabilize markets, it skews them. Can you say "subsidy" ? I know you can.
