How would you define a Hate Group or Hate crime?

per the web...

A hate group is an organized group or movement that advocates and practices hatred, hostility, or violence towards members of a race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation or other designated sector of society. ...

Would you consider online bullying a hate crime if they were bullied just for the fun of it and not ^

Hate crimes are stupid. All crimes against people are hate crimes. We've already got some pretty solid anti-gang laws on the books. No need for the addition of hate crimes, just an adequate and just enforcement of the laws as pertains to the crimes committed.

To answer your question, no, legally unless it's for a specific delineated reason, it's not a "hate crime." And, I consider online bullying annoyance, by those that can't cope with their real life.

yes. Because they still pick on the one thing they consider a flaw in a person, even if they don't honestly hate the person for it. Keep in mind there's such a thing as bullying for fun and no harm intended, but it's still bullying. Just like a fit guy calling his friend "fat ed" or something just to joke around. He doesn't hate the guy because it's his friend, but it's still bullying and picking on him.

Contradiction time.. Actually if he doesn't hate him for it, it can NOT be a hate crime. A hate crime is driven by hate and not for fun. Though having "fun" can hurt somebody else, it's still not a hate crime. just rude.. and sometimes funny :)

I wouldn't.

The entire concept of a "hate" crime is fucking ludicrous.

Either it's a CRIME, or it's not. Period.

What's next, "love" crimes?

Well I am an Irish/Mexican/American Indian and I have a group that follows me around talking shit about what me and my family look like, so I would say if you want a definition, just pop in one of my threads.

Hate crimes are crimes against an individual or group of individuals in which the perpetrator is prejudicially targeting said individual(s) based on nothing more than race, creed, sexual orientation or religion.

Basically, a hate crime is a crime committed by a dick-bag who thinks its fun to violently injury those not like themselves. I will cut these motherfuckers deep.

When people get bullied they feel hatred.

There are cases where extreme or deadly violence happened either to the bully or the bullied. Most of it was self-inflicted so that tells a story.

It is a smaller scale middle-east situation, imo.

Criminality is a classification system based on society's agreed terms, blue/white collar, serial etc. Hate crimes are ones that deal with perceived threats and ironically it is the very classification they detest, which is at fault for these "hate crimes".

All crimes of violence are motivated by hate. You rob a guy, and beat him. Because he's wealthier. That's the hate. You might not dance around and call him a rich pig, or some such, but the motivation is hate -- the side effect is what's taken. Beating a gay dude because he's gay is hate based. Both crimes are equally hate motivated. What "Hate Crime" laws create are an intentional system of escalation. The real affect these have, inside the prisons, with violent criminals, is NOT to cause race/sexuality related crimes decrease -- they increase. Look at the numbers of separatist gangs of all races, and the influence they're starting to have outside of prison. Is this a direct RESULT of "hate crimes?" No, but it polarizes people, and those people are connected to others in the real world. Psychological motivation can be used in determining a punishment, but shouldn't be used in determining the crime. All violent crimes are hate crimes. Charge them all equally.

And, fin, fuck you, you aren't Native American, at all. Not even 1%. Leave us out of your fucked up schemes.
