Im just wondering more on the amps. Its a 248 volt bulb. I would be running on a 120. If the amp pull is based off the bulb. It would be just over 3 amps. If the amp pull is based on the ballast it would be just over 7 amps. I want to get 2 . I have a 15 amp breaker for the room. If that's an issue I may go wit 4 330's. I don't think 2 330's will match the par of 1 860.Its around 905 for mine, based on the bulb and ballast, because i believe the bulb itself is 860
Absolutely No way can you run two 860w CMH with ballast on a15 amp circuit Hyroot!.....don't even think about it, lost enough good people around here.Im just wondering more on the amps. Even though years ago I got better results from 2 400w hps than 1 1000w hps
at 3000 watts I bet he's close to it for that small roomAre you sure you aren't growing those with the sun?
Thank you! I do have a 3rd cmh being used for veg, but after what im seeing I am prob going to switch out the hps to use all cmh and use my quantum digi ballast to run an mh for veg next runNice grow and set up! Would you consider swapping out the HPS for another CMH next run? What ballast are you using for CMH? I want to come over and touch your equipment.
It looks like the sun in there lol, I told the sales rep that it looks like i cut out my roof! I don't think 3k watts is overkill for a 6x 12ft room tho (its an honest 2800). Based on a 1000 watts per 4x4 area I actually have more space than that. I want more light lol but i doubt i need it.at 3000 watts I bet he's close to it for that small room
Much appreciated Keif, the more the merrierSubbed. Very interested in CMH. Great job sir, looking forward to updates. +rep
1000w magnetic switchable ballast......if the 860w Philips all start bulb doesn't fire on the mh setting switch it too hps and it should work. Make sure you buy a quality remote ballast! And these bulbs are vertical position only/vert hood or bare bulb are your options.I just talked to DNA to try to get a deal on bulb and ballast. Laughed at her when she told me the price. I can get the bulb pretty cheap...just need to know the proper ballast to get the most out of bulb with longevity.
Bloody good job mate!!! I was going to wank off to this CMH porn until I clicked on your hand pic
