slavery is abhorrent to me, but to forget that it was perpetrated by their own people against the victims is to do violence against history.
certainly it gives you solace to Blame Whitey, but the facts remain unchanged.
slavery was invented in africa, by africans against africans.
if you wish to argue against slavery you must accept this fact, and not pretend it was created by anything but greed and selfishness, vices common to all humanity, not just europeans.

the hard truth is black family structure is fck'd up, ntm other cultures HAVE a structure that is culturally based from hundreds if not thousands of yrs....black culture is not only young but 100% New world...and about the only thing that's demonstrates this is all those unique names you see on Sunday (another story/another rant) ...basically it would help if black females had a father figure as a template for finding a mate other than Bling and a stupid hair cut....and Black males didn't have so much "Choice" (with all the men tied up in jail or dead and the choice of interracial women, black men have it made "sexually" choice speaking) ... Gheez, I hate the right wing preaching but going back to some church based morals from their cultural southern roots wouldn't hurt....

the simple unvarnished truth is, "The Civil Rights Movement" FAILED
the 1964 Civil Rights Act should have been a victory, but sadly it was handled poorly.
after receiving the benefits of the Civil Rights Act, there was a mass movement, centered in the Black Churches of the south, to register Blacks as democrats, with the intention of taking the party over from the racists who had been dominating southern democrat politics since before the civil war, and change the party from within by sandbagging the racist power structure.
unfortunately the democrats simply crafted a new meme, which was "Most Blacks are democrats, ergo, democrats are FOR Civil Rights" which was entirely false. the Black Community was re-educated as pawns of the democrat establishment, and to this day refuse to believe that the democrat party was the prime opposition to the 1964 Civil Rights Act and all that followed in "The Movement".
the meme has been so successful, even otherwise intelligent and educated blacks will express shock and disbelief when you explain that the Civil Rights Act was championed by republicans, while almost all of the southern democrats opposed it

Also, I'm not in total disagreement here ...my point was this whole thing about the Africans aiding slavery is a oft quoted snippet from ultra right media/websites...in that it misplaces the real evils of slavery: the shit that happened AFTER the bondage (true those "African chiefs" that did that stuff all the time, had no clue nor cared what happened to the merchandise)......being brought to a new land in of itself wasn't the real evil...from "Shipping & handling" to the family separation, to the 16yr lifespan to the murders, beatings et et; no other slavery in the history of the world was nearly as brutal as that practiced in the South circa 1600-1850 .....

more truths about slavery: here is a VERY dangerous blanket statement I could get flamed on, but one can simply look at the skin colors of the black Americans around the states and in the new world...you can actually get clues in as to their lifespans, social segregations and type of agriculture..... sugar plantations: short lifespan, high shipping volume from Africa; prostitution: high number of high demand mulatto whores, Spanish speaking countries; lots of genetic admixture, same goes for the "kinder/gentler slavery in Ky & Va....
I could go on but the truths of the past seem to flame a lot of emotion ...we can't even say sprinters come from West Africa and distant runners come from Scandinavia, Plains Indians and East African w/o being blamed for racist stereo typing.... there is a difference in acknowledging evolutionary differences, historical truths, and cultural nuances against blatant racist superiority....

So you believe in evolution enough to note difference in geographic regions yet you declare that it only happens from the neck down. I don't think it's racist to believe the possibility that some regions depended on intelligence for survival while others relied more on strength or speed. I think when world wide test scores by any of the groups that do testing, show that Asians excel compared to other races, it's not racist to admit this.

Wrong. Slavery predates the use of currency, written law, monotheism and quite possibly use of the wheel. It is impossible to prove that anyone invented it. Therefore to accept what you suggest as fact is not only unnecessary to this discussion, it is just wrong. However there exists abundant evidence that slavery existed in many other parts of the world and throughout history long predating the Atlantic slave trade.
Furthermore, when someone sells a slave to someone else, two people are involved in enslavement. It was not the Africans who sold other Africans to white people that created demand for slaves. It was the white people demanding slaves who created demand for slaves.

Take an anthropology class you racist dolt. You're suggesting an evolutionary basis for intelligence as support for an argument that it isn't racist to admit black people are less intelligent than white people. You're completely incorrect. There is no difference in brain development by race. In fact, we're all Africans. It is not inherited genetic material that determines intelligence, it is education. That is why Asians score higher.
This suggestion of yours that some regions require different intelligence quotients is akin to thinking that the traits one is born with are the determining factor in natural selection. That is incorrect.
What you are born with does not determine your chances for survival to reproduce. Education does. A two year old psychic prodigy will not survive and therefore will not reproduce if said child is not protected by parents and taught how to survive, where as a mouth breathing spawn of Canna Sylvan has every chance to do so as long as said mongloid makes it to adulthood.
At least understand natural selection before you go off on some Social Darwinist tirade.
