If I hear music I constantly am tapping ..I guess its from playing the drums when I was growing up.. Also .. I'm constantly making sure our lawn is perfect ..Its 2'' and you could play golf on it ...
my roomie is the same way. he drums. he doesn't even notice it. when i had class with him i would have to tell him to stop - he didn't even notice it.

he also is the fastest shitter i've ever met

I'm chortling to myself right now.I've worked too much fucking retail, thank you very much. Unfortunately, I was very good at it. Then again, if we got like the BOMB aquarium shop out here I'd probably work it.
Ok, but how are you gonna wash your hands in that thing? I also clean out clothes washers, you know, when people let all the soap and gunk build up? Cannot stand that shit. When we had our cabin in Tahoe and were renting it out as a vacation rental I would go to the laundromat to do the wash, and those top-loaders get NASTY. How can your stuff be clean if it's being washed under dirt?
Ugh. Me, too. I can NOT stand it. I detest it. I'll get up and leave the table if anyone's chewing loudly.
 My husband can do what I call the shit-n-go. He just sits and shits. He gives me MAJOR grief about my library time, and I've had to really work at just sitting there and not reading anything so I can go.
Tell me about retail. Had to yank myself out of that, sell the car, and put myself in the poorhouse for close to nine years for school. Finally stepping out of that tunnel ...

you know what I do if a public sink is gross? I don't wash my hands. I open the door with the hand that was unused, and voila.

A funny question I heard raised by a comedian: why is more important to wash our hands after, rather than before using the bathroom? Which do you think is cleaner - the doorknob or your D?

Crooked pictures must be straightened, now !

If i see any amount of dust on anything i must dust the whole house.

Before i open a pack of smokes im compelled to pack them exactly 21 times,no more no less.

If i see a penny or any change laying on the ground i must pick it up,the few odd times i passed change on the ground by without picking it up it fuked with me for days.

Before i take a drink of milk i always swish it around in the glass & smell it,i do this several times before taking a drink & before each drink.

I wont eat meat from the freezer,it must be straight from the butcher shop, frozen meat tastes like ass to me.

I wear gloves when i touch my stereo to load a cd or spin a record.

I crack my neck about 100 times a day.

I like fdd am always tapping my leg, be it just tapping for no reason or tapping to a song, I just am allways moving my legs, and like dude with the cool sink avatar, I allways lock the door when going to the bathroom, because I was at a friends house one time taking a pee, and someone opened the door, and I was all fucked up jumped and turned around and peed all over the persons leg, nedless to say they wernt happy :P soo I decided from that point on to save myself and others from sucg siliiocities from happening again :P

wow. is there a correlation here between smoking weed and OCD? Perhaps.
naah. i have reverse ocd.

i hate things orderly. i cannot stand the lawn neatly mowed. i'm happiest whne my garden is jungle, tho neighbours bitch at me.

i hate books in neat piles and papers have to be scattered randomly about the place. my clothes spend no time in the cupboard, never are folded. anything in a neat row bothers me, i have to swap the black and white cutlery around when its arranged on separate sides of the hanging thingy. i patholgically fear ironing clothes.

but i do keep my sink and food stuff clean, and i shower 2 or three times a day and cannot wear clothes more than once, have to keep my body and clothes clean, but i like chaos and disorder, so long as its untidy, but it mustn't be rotting food or anything like that. hate dirty plugholes too, but dusty windows are more interesting than clean ones.

i hate round trees!

trees must be uneven and natural dammit!

and the twirly hair thing can be cured by playing a musical instrument, as can chewing nails.

I have a sister who has a diagnosis (OCD) and the smoke REALLY helps her chill out. It also helps with her depression, but doesn't fix it up quite enough so she also takes Zoloft. She does the trichotillomania thing, too, but hers was so bad that she used to have two bald spots over her ears. Fortunately she's got really thick, wavy hair so she could cover it up well.

alot of these types of things are just psychological energy that
has nothing to do, like chewing fingernails,

i used to chew them to pieces,
started playing guitar 17 years ago,
my nails became perfect
overnight, never chewed them since

this is just a vague suggestion, not a categorical opinion

Stress is the biggest factor for me and it's what has the biggest influence on whether I bit my nails (don't anymore) or pull my hair. It's rather like Tourette's that way, the tics get a LOT worse the more stressed the Touretter.

There are plenty of weird things I do, just can't think of them all right now, lol. Each night before I go to bed, I make sure all the sheets are tucked in and smooth, no wrinkles. I can watch the rain for hours, even just drops in a puddle. I too make sure my lawns are perfect and all my gardens coordinate with eachother and my house. My plants have no yucky leaves or stuff, all nicely manicured. On garbage day all my garbage is lined up, sorted and such nice and neat. When in the mood I can read a whole novel in a day. I am always tapping my foot, toe, pen, fingers, whatever too, music is always on or in my head.:peace:
