Other Side of the Fence...Where the Grass is Always Greener

Nice pics as always Sir! Looks like she is ready to chop. Here are a few pics from tonight. I am thinking I am about a week from harvest. Almost all of the trichs are clear. Only a random amber one... Most of the stigma are still white and thick. Today is day 42 of flower. I am getting some bamboo stakes tomorrow to help her stand back up. She is getting very top heavy!
:eyesmoke: I would be quite happy to learn it is more more like two more weeks! She'll get even bigger.

Based on the pistil growth I'd say at least 10 days. Probably more like 14.

Next time try to keep leaves as healthy as possible as the better health on your leaves the better production you'll get and you'll have plenty of foliage left to aid growth in these last few weeks.

Other than the few leaves though she's looking real nice!

I put some stakes in the cabinet tonight to help her stand up. She looks much better not laying down on herself... Looks nice and full again. : ) I have to admit that I screwed up and broke a stem on one of the colas. So, I decided to use it to learn with. I trimmed it down, and hung it up to dry. Now I have a bud to play with for the drying process before my actual harvest. It also gave me the chance to get a really good look at the trichs since I could have it sit still : )

My best rest guess right now is that she is probably about 5% cloudy... I saw two amber ones and everything else is still clear. The pistils got thinner since yesterday, but still mostly white, but much curlier.

Are you guys into the one cut method and hang the whole thing upside down? Or... Harvest what looks like it is ready to harvest and let the rest keep going? (I want two distinct batches... Morning time up and moving around buzz and some that is pure couch lock for the evenings)

Personally I'm a cut the whole thing down.

I tend to grow heavy indica dominant plants because I like being comatosed. Lol.

I've harvested both ways, but never with the entire plant hung to dry. I cut down to manageable branches and hook on coat hangers.

I prefer to individually harvest the buds as they ripen. Side benefit: you don't burn out trying to take the entire grow down in one session. It doesn't wear you out when you spread harvesting over a week or two.

Both harvesting methods work and I think if you have a flat canopy and great light intensity, you can chop with one session with no problem. Also makes drying easier because everything was chopped at the same time.

Just my two cents.

Nice pics guys, thanks for sharing them with us! :leaf:

I am planning on topping... ish. Most of the tops look closer than the rest of her. Not all of them. I want some of it to be at a lower percentage of cloudy... Up an moving around buzz. And then a second cut for the couch lock. My problem is, I suck with this little microscope. Wiggling little bastard is what it is. Lol If I can get a sample on the table, I can see it really well. Seeing into the buds is haaaarrrdddd. It just moves too much. As soon as I "see" something, it's gone!

I'll figure something out. : )

Snow Goddess 3 (High CBD)..purple madness with full milk trikes..
Can't wait to see how this high CBD strain effects my pain levels.

Going to make some oil out of this, should be interesting.

My picture of the day. Bag seed "Lucid X" 3 weeks cured. Smell is a sweet/brown sugar/caramel type, then when broken up is overwhelmingly sweet and spicy smell. Taste is a very dry sweet taste, like the dryness of a dry gin, but sweet tasting. High is long last, very heady, mild body, strong come down. Great social/giggly weed, but also good for sleep after you come down. Makes you space out and just feel good.
