I always run my veg room 24 hrs. But it would be a good idea to run the lighting down to 18/6 a couple weeks before flower just help with transition to flower.

18/6 works the best and gives the plant enough time to "sleep" which is needed for good plant  development
WHERE THE FUCK ARE U GETTING UR INFO? 18/6 may work best for YOU but other ppl swear by 24/0 or 20/4 so please dont say it works BEST when ur a NOOB :hump:

I do 24/0 now only because I use outside air to vent my grow, and with it being winter it's going to be hard unless I get a environmental controller to control the inside temp and keep it below 80 and above 70

i do however got one mind from eBay it's a cheap one just for my inline fan that brings the air in. Hopefully then, I can do it and save some electricity.

18/6 is fine, u want to burn more electricity go ahead. 12/12s the main event, prep for it as u choose

Dude chill out :cuss:...mother nature said so, is that good enough...yes MJ is a C-3 plant and will photosynthesise as long as the light is on...but you start to notice the leaves drooping around 16-17 hours like they're tired...well that's cuase they are tired...lol...and it kinda looks like you're a noob too...

Glad you like it so far man  and you'll find times for lighting, just like what soil to use, or what kind of lights to use, or what you should line your walls with and so on will vary by opinion and what people have the money for...those things YOU will find out for yourself eventually...what works for you may not work for the next OP...but hey peace and welcome to RIU :eyesmoke:

I have always run 24/0 and I only use CFL. I switch to 18/6, as stated above, about 1 or 2 weeks befor 12/12 just to keep shone shock out of the picture. But its really up to the grower. My buddy goes prgressivly from 24/0 to 12/12 through his whole veg because he wants to imitate nature...? I get it but it didn't make a difference to me me when i tried it.

I didn't say he was wrong not right just his opinion but he said 18/6 is best. who are u to tell me 18/6 is best. Grow some plants then talk.

Man get some thicker skin  I wasn't putting you down...if you read the rest of my post, I said it was a matter of opinion...but...I only know of a few places on the globe that has 24 hours of light, and they ain't fit for growing MJ...I myself have tried 24/0....24/4....20/4....18/6....16/8....and yes sun king, 19/5 as well as 17/7...lmfao...and IMHO, I think 18/6 works best for me, I haven't noticed any more growth from 24/0 to 18/6...but...I have noticed my plants are healthier if I give them some down time...and I'm talkin' cuz I have grown some plants, but hey I'm basically a noob too...but here's my last grow raised on 18/6 until flower...
