What do you typically yield in 5x5 room and what strain? Soil or hydro?

And what kind of setup do you have within the room? Decided to order a complete dwc hydro setup 5x5x8 and wondering what others are achieving. Pics would be nice also :)

Lol funny. Seen that around here all summer long, well until I made my outdoor harvest, now there is 8 strains going around. That brick looks completely imported from Paraguay. That's why Im going indoor, well one of the reasons lol.

i've used a 5 x 5.5 foot closet and am now using a tent about that size.

i used to use a 1000 watt, now i use a 600.

i got 8 OZ my first grow with the 1000 watt. i got 24 OZ my last grow with the 1000 watt. i was averaging 12 oz per grow with the 600, then i went to 16 per grow, now i'm back down to 12ish. different genetics change the total average. unfortunately, my current favorites are low yeilders.

i've tried a lot of different things over the years but i currently use soil and 3 or 5 gallon smart pots. i'm legal now and am limited to 12 plants but in the old days, i'd cram a lot more plants into that size space than most would. 16 was pretty typical, up to 18 once in awhile. i rotated them every watering. i was always on the hunt for something special so i would do a lot of seedlings/clones and narrow down the best.

fat boy you may want to add some floral on the sides of that tent it will make a huge difference.

Nice grow, have you ever thought about two 400's side by side, you'd get a better light spread them just a 600 or 1000, .? Plus rep

the light was just coming on so it doesn't look like it covers much area but when it's totally on, the light spread is good.

i've thought of different light combos over the years, but the reality is, i don't need to grow anymore weight than i do. the law will allow me some excess weight after a grow, but not a lot.

i went down to the 600 because one day i found myself with about 35 OZ.
wtf was i doing with 35 OZ?
i got paranoid having that much weight around. i just like to grow. :)

i gave a bunch of it away as early xmas presents.

i'm a contrarian by nature and i've developed my own grow style over the years. some think it's odd but it works for me.

This is a pic of my second grow. I have a 1000w raptor hood in a 5x5 Growlab. I was able to fit 7 good sized plants, but it was pretty crowded. They were in 5 gallon fabric pots. And you can see, I could have maybe fit 1 or 2 more, but I give up a few sq ft keeping an oscillating fan and dehumidifier inside. Harvest was 20oz and 10 grams.

Well at least now i know it won't be hard to achieve my goal which is about a lb every 2 months. Ill have a separate veg room with about 6 4ft fluorescent tubes. Shoplight fixtures which has worked well in the past for me.

Do you guys veg indoors for 24/7 for a couple weeks before flowering? Or 18/6? And what kind of jump should i see in my electric bill and is that a problem with smart meters?

I run a 1k Solis tek digital matrix, 30 pint dehumidifier, 2 max fans, and other small equip. Made my bill jump 180$ running 18/6. 5 gal air pots cocos w/advanced 3 part and addy's.

Now on 12/12 which is a little better with the elec.

Anyone recommend any good yielding, potent fast flowering strains? Sativa dom or indica. Thought about running some durban poison and Kali mist my first go.
