opinions on this. random soldier plant.

This is a lazy setup 6400k cfl /reflector in a cupboard. It was started outside in soil from the ground in the pot its in now.
Has had loads of random $3.99 wal mart chemicals/nutes/seasol/dynamic lifter,heavy rain, intense sun, strong wind, transplant shock, and a whole other amount of crazy things.

I'm really surprised it survived. It seems to be growing nearly a 1/3 - 1/4 each day.

What do you guys think when you see this foiled up neglected plant under a CFL doing reasonably well?
No fan or exhaust and the foil job is poor. Dont plan on using them ...what do you think will happen if you use no fan?

Anyway that's pretty much it.

Also I've been watering daily, lightly and spraying the leaves both with a light mix of nutes, sea sol and water.

Roots have reached the bottom of all holes.. Thnx seasol .. ;)

Comments, opinions, ...?

When you reply, there's a toolbar at the topalmost all the way to the right there is an icon of a picture of a tree, mouse over it and it should say "insert image" click that and you can upload from your PC/Phone or from Photobucket or some other URL...good luck and welcome to RIU...

Hey man hows it going? I am new to growing too. I am trying to grow my first plant ghetto style (cfls, and everything else on the cheap). Can you please tell us a little about your grow space/set up?

It's in a wooden cabinet. About 1.5'x 3'x4' feet. It Feels a bit humid in there. It's exploding with new growth and staying rather short and bushy. No bugs or yellow leaves.

As mentioned earlier, 6400k CFL w/reflector, no fan or vent,
Organic and chemical nutes and food. This is 4 weeks old. Been under light for 5 days.

Has been outside in the sun up untill now.

Will be growing it about 4 x the current size before flowering.

Looks good man, get some more lights cuz your gona need em'...make sure your lights are about 2-3 inches away from top and sides...lookin forward to some updates :clap:

I have another 6400k 130w + a 2700k 130w both self powerered CFL one without reflector. Also have a random 600w 1500v light I believe is hid but I wouldn't know. If you know about this light then tell me how to use it.

Just gonna use one maybe two lights towards the end then change to2700k for main and leave other 6400k light on but change times equally to maximise growth.

I have a different set up I plan to show you guys at a later date.

I'll try get today's pics up .

I have changed the foil to white coated thin chipboard. All other conditions are the same.
its getting quite bushy under the 125w cfl. I have a hps 400w for flowering($1.00 on ebay!!!!).I want this to grow big so will veg for another 6 weeks i think. What do u guys think? here is updated pics

Looks like it's choking,I would change to larger pot.
I recently learned neat & clean gets more yield.
Needs ventilation if nothing but the doors open.
1 time it was looking ok. so you got somethings right.
Let me understand this you planning on buying a light 400 watthps on ebay for a dollar? That ain't going to happen.
Since ya new to this why don't you skip some vegging & flower it,seems to be easier,I don't veg at all.
My light just stays on 12x12.

i already picked it up they juat gave it to me for free..they didnt want the dollar haha.
it looks a bit old school. its got a built in ballast or its self powered. This plant is pumping dude why would i flower now when i could get a few more weeks off it at least. you are right its probably choking a bit but its still growing. ill leave a door open but covered and ill put a fan in there at veg time? Do u reckon the pot is too smallk?

I seriously picked the hps on eBay for free. 400w. I dunno if the bulb is good.
It has 2 bulb thingys inside the light but only one of them turn on.
