Has anyone received one of these yet? Has anyone seen a spectral chart of one of these new 2014 models? I'm dying to know more about these new panels!

I ordered 2 of them about a week ago. They told me they will be shipping out on the 18th (tomorrow). Also, they said they'll be adding spectrum charts when they update the website (any day now).

I heard that they would be putting them up on their website over 3 weeks ago. That chart is all I am waiting for before I pull the trigger on a few of these. Call me crazy but i can't/won't bring myself to order without seeing this. Why would A51 put these up for preorder without releasing this info?

Yeah I know how that goes. Very understandable to wait and order until the spectral charts are available. Good luck! :joint:

its an all white Panel with "Cree XTE White 3700k"

this gives enough information over the Spectrum, at least for me...

Yup^^^ exactly ...............should perform excellently like Captain's grows with the xt-e bulbs. Now we just need Bin#'s from EH:)

My only concern is the small % of 660nm in the 3700k spec............I think CM did use a "red" booster in his last grow??

I know there is more than one way to make a white light source end up at 3700k. I am simply saying that I (as a consumer) would like more info on the product I am interested in purchasing. I (the consumer) should not have to go chasing the info off of cree data sheets. I don't mean to offend anyone, just looking for the info "from the horses mouth" before I drop my hard earned cash on their product. No disrespect ment to anyone especially not you Guod or Psuagro, I dearly admire both of your work.

Regards.

Hmmm, the A51 spectral analysis of their XGS-190 shows a more broad spectrum than the spectral graph I found for the coinciding diodes in the Cree Datasheets.. Can someone explain this to my feeble mind? image.jpgView attachment 2898828

Am I correct to assume that these diodes are driven harder in the A51 panel than the diodes Cree used at the time of their spectral analysis?

Yes they are, except I got mine from Digikey.

That is why I've been mia for the last 3 months. Glad it's over, that was a lot of work.

^^^^ Somebody has been working hard......! :) Look at that sexy spectrum.....(and swanky new website!)
Generally, white Cree LEDs are available in 250k increments starting at around 2200k and ending at 8000k-something..... Also, the blue LED chip from one Kelvin to the next is identical as well as the phosphor blend. What changes from each 250k increment, the ratio from 400-500nm and 500-750nm changes.

The chart you have shows just 3 of the many kelvins available, 1 from each color temp family: warm, neutral and cool.

Thank you Mr. Eraserhead! You have been very kind and patient with a led noob like me. Thanks to everyone who tried to help me out with my questions!

Peace!

So.... If I'm in the market for a new light, is this the one to get? I was about to pull the trigger on a Blackstar Chrome 405w, but then I found this light for almost $100 less and now its got me thinking.... What's the better route? I'm in a 5x5 tent with a 4x4 table with two - 1st gen "450w" (300w) panels.

Yep. I promote them in every thread I cross where someone is asking about leds.

Even though you find me in a lot of DIY threads, I have neither the equipment to build nor the analyzing equipment, should I have a problem.

I have cobbled together a combination of commercial led tubes + globes. Pretty decent results, but costs more than one realizes to get a decent umol/m^

Prompt and transparent as usual! Thanks, man!

I have been waiting (not so) patiently for this panel since the talk of a new panel started. These are the best value there is if you can't DIY one..

Is it beneficial for flowering to have so much blue? The XT-E 3700K has about 16% of its power in the blue range of 430-480nm.
