We can pay wal mart worker $20 an hour, but expect prices to double.
Then no one will shop there and it will go bankrupt and everyone will be jobless.
you are wrong:

How raising the federal minimum wage would help working families and give the economy a boost

Key findings include:

  • Increasing the federal minimum wage to $9.80 by July 1, 2014, would raise the wages of about 28 million workers, who would receive nearly $40 billion in additional wages over the phase-in period.[SUP]2[/SUP]
  • Across the phase-in period of the minimum-wage increase, GDP would increase by roughly $25 billion, resulting in the creation of approximately 100,000 net new jobs over that period.
  • Those who would see wage increases do not fit some of the stereotypes of minimum-wage workers.
    • Women would be disproportionately affected, comprising nearly 55 percent of those who would benefit.
    • Nearly 88 percent of workers who would benefit are at least 20 years old.
    • Although workers of all races and ethnicities would benefit from the increase, non-Hispanic white workers comprise the largest share (about 56 percent) of those who would be affected.
    • About 42 percent of affected workers have at least some college education.
    • Around 54 percent of affected workers work full time, over 70 percent are in families with incomes of less than $60,000, more than a quarter are parents, and over a third are married.
    • The average affected worker earns about half of his or her family’s total income.

that is a series of specious assumptions.

if this were proveable why not raise the minimum wage to $50 /hour, and make everybody "middle class"?

businesses with tight margins will FAIL, while larger enterprises would simply deduct the higher wages from their taxes as an expense (yes, your wage is a deduction, THEY dont pay you, they get paid FOR you)

smaller employers dont have the cash reserves to absorb this hit till tax time, and thus would either cut employees and squeeze more productivity out of them, or shut their doors.

it would inevitably result in higher prices, so that extra $4.80 wouldnt buy a nickel's more in actual value when the chickens come home to roost.

aggregate demand is a LIE

Wow, you bought everyone of those lies and BS.

If raising the Min wage CREATES jobs, why not just raise the MIn wage to $50,000,000,000 an hour and then the economy will produce 100 Billion jobs and we will all be livin on easy street??????

Do you think that an increase in the GDP is what magically produces jobs? So if the GDP of 2013 was bigger than the GDP of 2007, then we have added net jobs per capita?

Now let me tell you what they didn't say

if whites compromise 70% of the population do you assume they would probably see the most benefit?
If workers wages increase by $40 billion and prices increase by 41 billion are you net ahead or behind?
if I pay you more would you assume that you will earn more that year? What If wages goes from $20 an hour to $40 an hour, but I cut your hours in half? are you net ahead or behind? think carefully on that one it's a trap.

Michael Bay — $160 million
Steven Spielberg — $130 million
Jerry Bruckheimer — $115 million
Dr. Dre — $110 million
Tyler Perry — $105 million

Never a word from the progressives when that ungodly annual income is raked in by people in the "arts"

no? here's a word:

Oprah Winfrey: World's greatest boss?

For the second time in recent years, she's making a strong case for that title by taking her entire staff and their families on vacation. This time they're going on a lavish Mediterranean cruise.

Winfrey and her staff will leave Chicago on Saturday. The cruise ship will stop in Spain, Italy, Turkey, Greece and Malta. She is covering transportation, food, drinks and activities at port stops.

In 2005, Winfrey celebrated the end of her "Wildest Dreams" season by surprising her staff with an all-expenses-paid trip to Hawaii.

According to Chicago-based Best Travel, a cruise like the one Winfrey is taking her staff on costs about $5,400 a person.

How awesome, but I wonder how many homeless people she could have fed and clothed with all that money.

if Wal Mart were the only ones affected that would be a valid argument, but what of local groceries, like the one i shop at, or McBurger-in-the-Box, Taco King, or the numerous small contract data entry schvitz-shops around the country, or any of a number of places where people with few marketable skills find gainful employment?

many of those places squeak by on tight profits, and wages are their biggest expense. if the pols in washington were to try and craft a proposal that shutters every small retail establishment, putting us all under Wally World's baleful banner they couldnt have done it any better.

i did my turn at the oar in the hellish belly of walmart's slave galley, and i have NO desire to return to service under that grim standard.

if you wish to try and force me back into the ranks under the hateful smileyface conn borne by wal-mart's vicious captains, then we may have to draw steel right here sweetie.

Where there's a whip, there's a way.
Where there's a whip, there's a way.
Where there's a whip...

We don't wanna go to war today
But the Lord of the Lash says: "nay, nay, nay!"
We're gonna march all day, all day, all day!
Where there's a whip there's a way!

Where there's a whip, there's a way!
Left, right, left, right
The crack on the back says we're gonna fight
We're gonna march all day and night and more
For we are the slaves of the Dark Lord's war.

Where there's a whip, there's a way!
We don't wanna go to war today!

Where there's a whip, there's a way.

and so is SES and the poverty trap and anything you deem too multicultural.

we get it, you are retarded.
the poverty trap is REAL, and it's LEFTIES who have created it.

they dug the hole, they lined it with stakes, greased the sides and covered it with brush to catch the unwary, unlucky and uneducated.

lefties like you stand at the rim of the pit and hurl insults, rubbish and scraps of food into the hole so you can sneer at the lowly peasants as they fight for a crust of bread and an apple core.

arent you magnanimous!

disclosure is key here.
32. just off 7 years of surgeries physical therapy and disability.

whats your point? you gonna sneer and act superior?

feel free, it's the best move you have left.

everyone can see you are a hateful little creature with more mouth than brains. why not make it a hat trick and throw in a few racial slurs against white people, just to round out your evening.

poverty is real, but the trap has been carefully constructed by assclowns like you for decades.

this is why welfare and foodstamps are canceled if you go back to school or slashed dramatically if you get ANY job no matter how poorly paid.

that one little provision is the most hateful thing the left ever devised, up till obamacare.
