How awesome, but I wonder how many homeless people she could have fed and clothed with all that money.
Oprah's Angel Network donates more than $6 million annually to charter schools, so needy kids can be fed and clothed.

well let's see..hmm a simple GOOGLE search and voila!

Oprah has long believed that education is the door to freedom, offering a chance at a brighter future. Through her private charity, The Oprah Winfrey Foundation, she has awarded hundreds of grants to organizations that support the education and empowerment of women, children and families in the United States and around the world. Amongst her various philanthropic contributions, she has donated millions of dollars toward providing a better education for students who have merit but no means. She also created "The Oprah Winfrey Scholars Program," which gives scholarships to students determined to use their education to give back to their communities in the United States and abroad.

In December 2002, The Oprah Winfrey Foundation expanded its global humanitarian efforts with her "Christmas Kindness South Africa 2002" initiative that included visits to orphanages and rural schools in South Africa where 50,000 children received gifts of food, clothing, athletic shoes, school supplies, books and toys. Sixty-three schools received libraries and teacher education.

During a December 2000 visit with Nelson Mandela, Oprah pledged to build a school in South Africa. As that commitment broadened, she established The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation, to which she has contributed more than $40 million toward the creation of the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls—South Africa, which opened in January 2007 and now serves grades 7 through 12. Located in a 28-building campus in Henley-on-Klip, the Leadership Academy is a state-of-the-art independent school that engenders high standards of academic achievement and service leadership for girls from all nine South African provinces who show outstanding promise despite their impoverished backgrounds and social circumstances. Her vision is that the Leadership Academy will help develop the future women leaders of South Africa. On January 21, 2012, seventy-two students became the first-ever graduating class of the school.

In a 1997 episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, Oprah encouraged viewers to use their lives to make a difference in the lives of others, which led to the creation of the public charity Oprah's Angel Network in 1998. Oprah's Angel Network raised more than $80 million, with 100% of the donations funding charitable projects and grants across the globe. Oprah's Angel Network helped establish 60 schools in 13 countries, create scholarships, support women's shelters, and build youth centers and homes—changing the future for people all over the world. The Angel Network distributed its final grants, six $1 million donations to U.S. charter schools, in September 2010.

Oprah's commitment to children also led her to initiate the National Child Protection Act in 1991, when she testified before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee to establish a national database of convicted child abusers. On December 20, 1993, President Clinton signed the national "Oprah Bill" into law.
*going forward this is the last correction schuylaar will be making for the right..stop being so lazy and google your own shit!

poverty is real, but the trap has been carefully constructed by assclowns like you for decades.

this is why welfare and foodstamps are canceled if you go back to school or slashed dramatically if you get ANY job no matter how poorly paid.

that one little provision is the most hateful thing the left ever devised, up till obamacare.
the eagles created the poverty trap, not lefties.

everyone can see you are a hateful little creature with more mouth than brains. why not make it a hat trick and throw in a few racial slurs against white people, just to round out your evening.
i wouldn't need to "act" superior to a 32 year old accepting gainful [citation needed] employment with walmart.

I fucking love my Macbook Air. My wiggling fingers earn me business, which in turn earns me money. I don't sit all day, I get up to get coffee or take a shit.

Personally I don't give a fuck that a CEO makes that kind of money, good for them. But if it is at the expense of others, like Wal-Mart employees having to hold food drives so the employees can eat at night, I have a serious problem with that. Not because it affects me personally, but I hold a general sense of concern for the well being of others, something you obvious lack.
You still mad because I made fun of you for taking your brother's virginity at 17? Hey, that's your business.

and before i was injured i was a Pressman in a newspaper, pulling down a fine wage, vested in the union, and had ~$20k in my savings account with no debts.

but when you cant climb the machines any more, your savings are depleted, and bills are piling up, you gotta take whatever is available.

but you wouldnt understand that.

one time, i had to sell my last clones to put gas in my car to roll it on a spare to the tire shop while i ate discount bin hot dogs on pieces of white bread for a week until my harvest came in.

i would not have set foot in wal mart even if they sold me fried chicken and watermelon for the same price as those $0.79 discount bin hot dogs.

did they secretly coordinate with barney frank to secretly control all three branches of government and both chambers of congress since time immemorial?

because that would be really cool.

People make their own lives. Anyone who is willing to plan and execute that plan can live a wealthy comfortable life. Similarly those who decide they want to work at checkout all their life has made a decision to do so.

Anything anyone claims is holding them back, I.e. race, poverty, gender or anything else while living in America is bullshit. Its all for the taking. Go get it. There are folks coming from places like India and Somalia living the American dream. I applaud them and I don't feel anyone should ever be looked down on for how much money they make be it billions or dozens of dollars.
