Leaving Nutrients Mixed

I plan on using the general hydroponic 3 part flora series with a soilless mix such as sunshine #4 and was wondering are you able to mix nutrients in a bucket/barrel with a lid & a air stone and let it sit until you need to feed again? If so how long can i keep it mixed together with a air stone?

Often wondered this myself. I left mine go for at least 3 days with an airstone in it and it got a little scummy looking and left a residue on my stone and bucket. I dumped it since I only had about 2 liters left.

Yeah airstone wouldn't matter I don't believe if there's still penetration of light

I usually mix 4 gals at a time and it takes more than 2 to 3 weeks 'till it's used up, I've never seen any problems keeping it this long and sometimes longer, I say no problems, btw I use GH 3 part flora series.

i was wondering this myself as i use over 3 gallons every other day for my grow,,,i'll have to try this wish me luck

use an aquarium pump instead because the air stone sits in the bucket and heats up the water which isnt good and breaks down your nute mix. also cover the top!
