Topping Marijuana- Topping a plant refers to cutting off the top shoot(s) of cannabis plants. You can pinch, clip or snip off the tallest shoots or the freshest shoots. Cut the branch stem just below the last fully developed node,. The plant starts developing branches at the remaining nodes. This is a good techniques to keep a plant short and bushy. Or you can develop many top colas instead of just one. Don't top a plant more than twice and never top when it is in the flowering stage.
so cut a oldest node a bit and take off the two top leafs?

Thanks for that, I know all about topping and use that technique on all of my plants. I'm sure that this will help other people though. Nice post!

The new nodes or the little leaves that are developing at the top of the plant. Just cut those little leaves off and don't take anything else off. In a few days the plant should recover from that and start producing two sets of leaves instead of the one that it was producing before you cut it off. Hope I helped, good luck.

Shoots are just the branches that grow tall after a plant has been topped.I nstead of one top shoot you'll get more than one, thus raising your yield(quantity).KEEP SMOKE ALIVE!!
