I have done this and it worked, 80% female results, no hermies! As I understand it, if a plant starts out female and turns hermie then it will produce hermie seeds. You would need to take pollen from a hermie pollen sack and pollenate it with an actual female plant to get feminized seeds.
The same way I could take 20 bag seeds and have them all females without proving anything dont you think? Im not saying you are wrong and I am right because I dont have much experience in the hermie field.I have done this and it worked, 100% female results, no hermies!
Well that is always an option if you have 10 plants. If I had 2 I wouldnt use both my plants for that. But that is just me my friend.Well yeah I was thinking about it if I did end up getting a male or a hermie ya know?
a hermie will produce seeds but the seeds will be male and female. and when you pollinate a female plant it will produce both male and female seeds. you can only produce female seeds through this process which I c+p'd for your edification...enjoyDoes a hermie produce feminized seeds or do you get feminized seeds when you pollinate a female
Treatments which reduce the ethylene level in the tissues (hypo-baric conditions, treatment with benzothiodiazole) or antagonize the action of ethylene (CO2) cause the formation of male or bisexual flowers in place of female ones (Byers et al. 1972) |
I actually forgot there was 2 outa the ten that were male. 80% female, 100% hermie free. 2 distinct phenos. Pic is sweet pheno 5 1/2 weeks, 3 to 3 1/2 weeks to go. Single plant true 10 gallon container organic LST.I have done this and it worked, 100% female results, no hermies!
