"The plants that I made that 'unclean' hash from were harvested as close to ripe as possible 5% clear, 90% frost and 5% amber. It's the absolute closest I could get to peak"

This is what I found in the end. I got a plant almost end of the 7th week. I bought x100 microscope and check the trichomes and It seems like just turning to ember right now. %85 milky, cloudy %3-5 amber %5 - 10 clear. Someone says wait till %30 amber, someone says even go further %50 amber %50 cloudy. Last one I found says waiting for amber degrade the . I dont have any experience so plz share ur opinion with me. It is indica strain just a regular seed and I just want get purely high

  • %85 milky,cloudy %3-5 amber %5 - 10 clear. Without a picture just going by those% I would get it now if it were mine.GL

Here is the some photos. I took some leaf from top and middle of the plant

When turning "amber" this indicates the the plant is LOOSING potency (starting to decay) , you have the right %'s down,,,you do know it is a personal choice? Also you have a 14 day harvest window. By the looks of you pictures you need at least 2-3 more weeks before considering flower. Takes a plant generally 2-2.5 month in flower for harvest
85% milky, 10% amber, 5% clear is very good but a 50%milky/50%amber harvest you get the best of both worlds (body/mind)

it's your smoke so do as you will but those trichs are mostly clear with very few cloudy scattered about IMO. The few amber you are seeing may just be trichs that were brushed against or otherwise damaged.
Again your smoke so take it when you want because ultimately you will do so anyways.

Do you have a pic of this plant where we can see all of it??

I usually wait until I see around 10% amber since you will usually see a few amber WELL before the plant is ready for harvest due to damage to that trichome. Going 50% amber is definitely a bit overboard since buds continue to mature a bit after harvest during the drying and curing process. After looking at your pics, I'd estimate another week before harvest.

IMO- neither... Clear Trichromes.

Try a sample off lower small bud. Grind it up and set it out on a paper plate and it will dry in a few hours. Disregard smell and taste but high will be there. If you like then chop. If you wait longer the more couchlock it gets.
