Hello i am new to this site but fairly experienced in concentrates. I joined this site after reading many posts here. Your site has great info on qwiso and i hope to add to it. I will be posting 3 techs shortly a qwiso tech, a pentane tech, and a qwiso tech usinG bubble hash. Hope you all get some benefit

do tooooo big of tube sizes and or too cold of temps hurt our extracts?

I have only done small batches of bho in smaller tubes so i can not answer tube size ?. I have not noticed any loss of potency with low temps but that is definately not conclusive proof.

Smaller diameter tubes are better and if you freeze your bud or trim first supposedly itll increase ur yield but I dont bother

i agree with smaller tubes being the shit..

but i compared one tube to another tube twice its length, with same size ID..

i am not worried about yields, but more so that impact it has on resin..

just in case you missed it.. this is why im hungry for an answer..

same material ran side by side, same process. different tubes, different outcome..

I think you are very close to answering the big tube vs. small tube question. I would repeat the experiment and if you get the same results I think we can put that one to bed. Def repeat if possible. It will be much more conclusive and eliminate any potential variables from your first experiment you potentially were not aware of.

So Guz do you think it's the length that affects the outcome negatively not the ID?

Cause I have done direct comparison with a small ID tube vs large ID tubes and gotten the exact same product out of them...both nice sandy blonde comb.

A lot of other things come into play when processing our material ie heat, humidity, product handling, vac time,etc...the experiments have to be very controlled to get an accurate answer.

Another way to look at the data, is that you used 20% less butane per inch in the 60" tube and got 14% less yield.

We find smaller tubes more efficient, because they pack more evenly and the butane is less likely to find an easy way through.

Smaller than an inch is a royal pain to load and unload, so we standardized our tubes on 1" ID, with the longest being 36" long
