Home Depot for around $150 & you can get something like this with a digital thermostat, the old style with the simple knobs are not as good as they do not have the ability to fine tune the enviroment, you can select "dry mode" on these units & it will cost about half as much to run compared to cooling mode, dry mode will cool most rooms perfectly unless its a 100 degree oven.i imagine the ac unit would replace the need of an intake. how much do u think an A/C costs ? lol , just seems a lil funny that u guys say A/C's are expensive. I got my A/C through Craig's list for 75 buck. Is that expensive to you, not to me it isnt, especially when it comes to controlling humidity and temps, but, what do i know.ac is pretty expensive to buy and run, if the heat is just a tad bit high maybe try a "swamp cooler" basically a fan that blows air through cool water. cheaper, but cooling nowhere near an ac unit.
