How does one figure out which "political" side they are or represent. I always come read this section an various posts interest me alot but gets boring after several posts bashing each other so i exit out but i have grown curious which view i fall under.

Liberal,conservative, dem, repub. Ect.

I couldnt imagine have just one view for every conversation and somehow that view falls under one specific political name/group.

I have my own views and i dont follow others just because so in the end these titles dont matter much to me but it would definitely be easier to follow along since this is all that is bickered about.

Very general question sorry but i have certain views on many of these common topics but also uneducated with all the terms.

Whats Mine is Mine, and whats Yours Is Yours
The federal government should concern itself with national and international concerns and let state and local concerns be handled by the state and local government
The government should intrude on my personal life as little as possible
It's my house, i can paint it any colour i like, and maybe i like Purple! the city cannot force me to change it.
My private business is no concern of the government, as long as i pay my taxes and aint engaged in criminal acts they should leave me alone as much as possible.
America is the most important country on earth because THATS WHERE I LIVE! other country's problems are THEIR problems
If somebody stumbles and falls, we should give em a hand up, but we shouldnt have to carry them around on our backs for the next 20-30 years.
The government should concern itself with the economy of AMERICA, not the rest of the world's bullshit. let china worry about china's economy.
Before we make a radical change to our society, you should convince me with proof that your new idea is better than what we currently have.

if you agree with these statements, sorry bro, youre a conservative.

sorry bro.

Try taking the Political Compass test, Ricky.
At least you'll get an idea of what area of politics you "seem" to fit in with. Then explore ideologies that associate with that area. If the message resonates with you, then that's what you probably are.
If you are an American, and are confused, it is probably because you don't feel comfortable with the false dichotomy that is presented.

LOL AC, Psychologists are not scientists and psychology is not a science.
Yes it is. It is a scientific, academic discipline. It is fledgling but it will become a hard science and then it will be called cognitive science. The methods are empirical and that study was peer reviewed.

You do have a point, AC.

(Phys.org) —These days, getting a Ph.D. is probably the last thing you want to do if you are out to revolutionize the world. Dr. Eugene McCarthy is a Ph.D. geneticist who has made a career out of studying hybridization in animals. He now curates a biological information website called Macroevolution.net where he has amassed an impressive body of evidence suggesting that human origins can be best explained by hybridization between pigs and chimpanzees.

Scientists do say the darnedest things.

There are two kinds of government. Voluntary and coercive. Most governments fall into the coercive category. "Parties" are just the various gangs vying for control within a coercive government system. I challenge anybody to stay on task and refute this.

According to your test, I'm super close to Milton Friedman.

I like that.

Fledgling? You don't mean psychology is a fledgling science, I hope. Psychology, as you surely must know, is the oldest of all science.

It is the first observable and repeatable phenomenon, human behavior, based on reward and punishment. And it is science.

Psychology has been described as a "hub science",[SUP][8][/SUP] with psychological findings linking to research and perspectives from the social sciences, natural sciences, medicine, and the humanities, such as philosophy.
-----------------

I would not count Philosophy as a science, but one of my brothers is a clinical psychologist, the PhD is a lot science and math.
