Led light from eBay

Any thoughts on this light and how it will do in a tent 4x4. Cost is $150. It's 240 watts. I can add T5 for side lighting or additional. top lighting. Also wanted to question if T5 HO were better to use for flowering than CFL's I am currently using 10 plus CFL's 150 watt bulbs.

I got 2oz Dry off an Autoberry with one of these. Adding a few CFLs Can't hurt. But you should be able to run 2 plants under one of these. They arent that big, but they are bright at shit.
2 of these for $300 is a steal, I paid $200 a piece about a year ago.
The US Made ones are way to over priced

Well I won the bid with free shipping. My Bro is going to buy it for me for xmas if I choose. I will add t5's or cfls. I am growing 3 plants in a 4 x 4 tent with only cfls.... this LED should cut down on power usage as well I would think and hopefully fatten up the buds. I will advise as to my yield as I am only running the CFL at the moment. I hope to get 6 oz or more but could be a pipe dream right.
kushdc.... i think one 300 would definitely cover 2 plants in a 2 x 2... I guess you can't use the hps because of heat in that small a space? I want to cut down on power usage and heat with the leds'. If things go well with this unit.. maybe i get another and go from there right.

Now another question I have is I see the LED lights that are like screw in flood lights. Would those work as well?

Yes I use Cree and Phillips LED Medium base bulbs from Home Depot. They are much cheaper than the light you posted and probably will outcompete it in no time.

I run them in my cabs. Those Chinese LED's are a joke. I thought about getting them initially, but after seeing so many problems with them and NO guaranteed spectrum.

American made are not overpriced, considering the build quality. If I was going panel I would go Hans > Area51 > Apache Tech. Heating and cooling can be reduced and usually are, although I see people try to add heat back into their grow, when using LED's.

They also make both Cree and Phillips LED Spotlights bulbs, which are slightly less efficient than the medium base bulbs.

Check out this grow:

Excellent thanks for that info. Also might be another area to experiment in. I cannot stand giving $ to the fucking hydro companies. This and taxes just piss me off to no end. If I can rip off the government I will at every turn as I feel they suck me dry to the point of barely being able to live!

I just did a 5 x 5 tent with 2 x 240W chinese LEDs. I ended up adding a 6 bulb T5 during bloom for 2 reasons 1) Spectrum addition of 3000k and 6500k FL, 2) The led panels run such little heat that I needed to increase my daily temp by 10° to have it fall down at night like as true flowering cycle.

How much did you yield I'm thinking about getting one 300 watter for a 2x2 any suggestions

2-3.2oz per plant in 5gal soil FFOF. By biggest plant was the one directly closest to the T5 by almost an oz believe it or not. 240-300W chinese led will be enough in a 2 x 2, but $$ for $$ adding a 2ft T5 was the best investment I made. I will be running them on all 3 sides on my 5' x 5' from now on actually.

Well I work for a restoration company and we have 4', 3' and 2' HOT5 double light fixtures and boxed bulbs for those fixtures that 'they are going to toss into the garbage! I have taken 1 2' and 2 of the 4' already.... better get the rest before they hit the bin. It is surely sinful what gets thrown out. These are aquarium fixtures.... and prices tags on them for $250. I'd like to add the 2' or 3' into the tent for sides....have to wait tho until I get the LED's as it'd be too hot in there if I added one more bulb. Maybe I should pull out some cfls and put in the t5's any thoughts on that?
