me myself i aint listenin to soulja boy anything dont like it very much which is my choice. but millions of kids do he puts it out not forces anyone 2 listen 2 it people pick it up? like it or love it its there. Ice-t deserves respect for the things he has done in hip hop (rap) but soulja boy was right (besides all the shit talkin) Ice T doesnt need 2 say shit like that 2 the int. or anywhere. I also understand how Ice-T feels about it (but coulda approched in a diff. way) The bottom line is dont listen to it if ya dont like it. there doesn't have 2 be just one way of hip hop though. thats what being an individual is all about. Ice was hardcore rap man soulja boy is dance music n fun 2 some... like it or love it not everyone thinks the same.

*standing ovation* yo... i dont know if you heard of him or not, but someone you should download asap if you dont already have his music is immortal technique. his new cd just dropped today and he doesnt care if you bootleg. hell he bootlegs his own albums. hes up there in the ranks of tupac, no exaggeration.
on the real, this shit is sickining, cause it makes us look bad...

were cliche'd up like a mofo.

even 50 cent is a bitch,
i was big on him back in his underground nyc mix tape day, how to rob the industry.
then he goes commercial, disses ja rule for singing, then goes along and starts singing rap his self. hes a bitter , he runs over smaller people so he can steal there style.

and j-z that dick suckin lip having bitch, callin himself god, another bitter.

blue prints stolen from the rap lengend krs-one.
ill go real hip hop toe to toe with the best.
this new shits a disgrace to the legends.
to the real fans, to the real people out there doing this shit to get a message out ,thats actualy worth hearing.

i ve heard of immortal technique, edan,mf doom, lootpack, king gedorah ,prince paul, gravediggaz.i stay listening to it on last.fm

I somewhat agree with Ice-T about the whole souljaboy thing. I would never buy his cd or even download one of his songs, but that doesn't mean that he killed hip hop.

This is Kanye West's response to the drama.I have to agree completely with that, except that souljaboy is in no way "Nas level shit". Souljaboy wins for making money and bringing more listeners from white suburban america to hip hop.
Yo man kanye west is on the forums....huh?

hip hop aint dead but it is on life support. i dont mind dudes like soulja boy and the all the others just making simple stuff so i just dont listen. all the wack ass mc's are killing hip hop. out of 100 albums in 2008 i will find 2-3 that i like with a couple of good songs on each. back in the day hip hop was flooded with great music. i just dont listen to the garbage so its okay if they put it out. i listen to what i like whether it be old or new.

yeah im not too much of a fan of todays rap. I have been a rap/hip hop fan all my life and I am 23. This shit now a days is about stupid ass dances and its only geared toward females to make sales. Most of the shit dont have a message to it. Its just a bunch of ignorant people rhyming into a mic with a good beat. Well a beat dont make you a emcee. Dont get me wrong there is still lyricist out and there that are still coming out that is holdin it down and trying to keep real hip hop alive, with a message/story and good complex word play.
