If you want to learn how to grow marajuana then just go and educate yourself at "URBAN GARDEN MAGAZINE" website.

Its all about indoor cultivation.

NOT ABOUT MARAJUANA.

There is nothing special about growing cannabis just as there is nothing special to growing any other plant.

Look to your leaves to judge the health of your plant.

Keep leaves green and get big bumper harvests.

You don't need to go to school to learn how to grow. Just start Googling the basics and then go from there. Get a good background of knowledge then start your grow. In my opinion, if possible start outdoors. It's a little less expensive and a bit more forgiving from my experience.

"You don't need to go to school to learn how to grow [marijuana]".

Is it even possible to take a class in growing cannabis?
It's a course I've never seen on the curriculum....
Unless 'flower arranging' is a euphemism?

Hi Jessica,
Even though we have only just met I can tell we will become great friends (if you're slim and attractive) or distant acquaintances (if you're not).
I'm English and we're all aristocratic gentlemen with castles, mansions and syphilis - Just like our future King, His Royal Magnificence, Prince Charles.

Why would you have to go to California to learn?

Growing Equipment
What have you got?
What can you get?
What do you already know (if anything)?

I know that BWG7098 said that 'Outdoor growing is more forgiving' but not in December.

What are the average temperatures and sunshine hours in North Carolina?

Wasn't 'DELIVERANCE' filmed there....?
I wouldn't go walking around the lonely, dark Carolina woods if inbred hillbillies were roaming around with banjo's and shotguns.

Anyway, back to helping 24year old Jessica.
(A woman reaches her peak at 25years, 1 month and 16 days).

You could start preparing all you'll need, then wait till next year.
Start some seeds off indoors and plant them outside when the frosts have definitely finished...?
But the ground, where you want to plant them, will need preparing - if you want to give them the best chance.

INDOORS
TBH I think INDOOR GROWS are easier to control, easier to watch and far less likely to get you raped and murdered by hillbillies.

Some closet space (or a small tent), the best and biggest grow light you can afford....The best genetics (seeds/cuttings) you can afford*
*This could be the very best stock at $40 per seed OR the seeds from a bag of weed you smoked.
You use what you can afford....

It all costs money BUT it doesn't have to cost A LOT of money.

One or two plants under a 250w HID (High Intensity Discharge) lamp or even under T5's (fluorescent tubes) can be achieved very inexpensively.
Plant pots and GOOD SOIL (much more expensive than a few spades of your back garden BUT cheap by comparison to the difference it will make to your plants).
Nutrients - again, get the best you can afford.

If I were you I would FIRST BUY A CANNIBIS GROWERS BIBLE (Growing Guide) and read, read, read....
Ask questions, make notes, draw diagrams, read some more, ask more questions, make more notes.....
and, if you're a professional grower, 40 years from now, you will STILL be reading and asking and reading some more.
You never know everything.

No need to go to Cali. You can learn to grow in your closet. I just started growing at the beginning of the year, and the amount you learn each grow is amazing.

Do a lot of googling. I suggest starting with "germinated seeds", "What does a marijuana plant need to grow?", "Stages of marijuana growing", "Light schedules of a marijuana plant", "Harvesting and Curing Marijuana", "grow room equipment", "SoG", "LST", "Topping", "Inverse Square Law of Light" and "What do the numbers on nutrient bottles mean?".

From there just keep researching. Fuck a school. Save that money for grow room equipment.

You are going to have to find out how to trim/train your plant for the space and equipment you have, and how much legal trouble you want to risk.

I studied like a nerd for months before I even germinated a seed. Still didn't have all the knowledge I needed. Ended up fucking the whole crop. Didn't harvest much, but it was a great learning experience. Very stressful at the time though..

Get grows under your belt and it gets easier and easier. You can even set up a perpetual grow so you don't have to grow one crop at a time. More expensive to run/setup though.

Jessica, stay in North Carolina, and study all you can by reading the stickies on here and elsewhere. Do not go to California, I don't want to see you walk into the woods and never return.

1) Adjust your mindset, that you want to grow weed - ask yourself question - what should i need to succesfuly grow a plant?
2) Then you want to think about cannabis as a plant, as it is everywhere, but everyone will tell do that, do this...
3) Smoke more weed to adjust your mind to see natures patterns;
4) then it all comes along;

but then- 15 minutes after i smoekd a bowl (yeah my own stuff), i figured out it is all bullshit, because just read, try to filter basic info - how to keep that plant alive and everything will grow nicely - if you have grown any chilis or smth, then it will be easy, only difference is - beside windowsill you are using light ;_>

lol, funny how quickly a chick gets mondo responses... i think she prob. saw the same t.v. show i saw. the school she may be talking about is in oakland, and called oaksterdam university, or something like that. girl, your best bet is to read the stickies, and ask questions. look at some grow journals, and choose a method that you think you may like, and then copy that method. check out pics that people post, and ask them how and why they do this or that. most folks will have no problem answering you. especially if you stroke their ego, lol... tell them how great they're doing, and you'll get a lot of happy responses. but the most important thing you can do to learn, is to read. once you feel comfortable, get yourself some equipment, and give it a try. for your first grow, i would suggest getting yourself some seeds from a friend who either grows, or smokes a lot of weed. this person will more than likely have some seeds laying around. you don't want to spend a lot of money on expensive seeds for a first grow. good luck girl, you can do it. if you can read, you can grow!!!
