never calmed down just figured out it was pointless to argue with a rock .............some ppl can learn some ppl are just good fodder for the fight .......not my job to save them or help them anymore past the time for most ppl the ones that have a chance are beyond the need of me .............now i am just here learning skills for planting (helping ppl kills time and increases my learning curve on the subject figure 8 more months and i should have master this )

thinking of taking up the flute or finally learning to write with my feet
sounds cool
you still dont remember me ?

it might be part of what caused it, a lot of ppl just top water till the roots are long enough. the basket should pretty much just get bubble pop splashes afaik. idk if it's just bc of it making it way to wet or the hydroton crushes roots if it's moving all the time.

not really. the only two things that i know work for sure are the Heisenberg tea, or chlorine- bleach, pool shock(cal-hypo)...https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/655319-using-bleach.html
I used pottasium permanganate experimentally, I'm pretty damn sure it worked but exact dosages are tricky...its not any easier than bleach just a lil less toxic (but stains stuff like a mutha) ... I just had a pretty bad case of rot all over the place and it seemed to return using chemical/sterilization/bleach methods (the plant with the permangante made it tho).... TBH it appears the Tea is a absolute winner, but then again so was the switch to coco he he he

Yes, that's the same one.... I read off their website that they don't recommend using peroxide together with AquaShield because it kills off useful micro's in the A.Shield.... But your like the fourth or fifth person that uses both together...so I am going to make a new mix with both this time.... and thanks... but, how do you clean your net pot from the slime???? :leaf:
Well, I kind of don't use them at the exact same time, what I'll do is like do a res change and use the aqua shield, then 2-3 days later I'll start adding squirts of peroxide. I'll keep adding more and more peroxide every couple days until I do a res change again.

Another product I use is hygrozyme. It's supposed to help get rid of organic matter. It works great as a soak for the roots (mix a strong concentration with water) in a bowl and let the roots just soak. I usually do it for like 20 minutes, and then I'll dip the roots in fresh water after trying to pull some of the slime off with my fingers.

You can pick out easy to get to chunks (edit: wtf did I just type? I meant you can pick out the big chunks of slime when you have the net pot pulled out), but the second quick rinse also helps get rid of the excess root pieces that have broken off. Maybe people don't normally get chunks of the slime; where my setup is aeroponic the slime builds up at my sprayer tips and I have to take them out and clean them, and usually when I do I use a toothpick or something to pull slime "plugs" from the holes in the line. I like to take all of my plants out first, bc if not the slime chunks will just slide down to the next netpot site and get caught in the roots of that next plant.

Put them over the sink and use a sprayer to rinse as much of the slime off as you can. Get some pondzyme and use the pondzyme and aquashield together, this might do the trick itself, but brew some Heisenburg tea anyway and use that as soon as it's ready. The tea takes a couple days to brew, but works awesome.
