How many 4ft strips at @1 amp would recommend for a 4x5 area? Or Would you recommend something else over the eb 3 thrive series?

I'm in 4x4 you got 9 sq ft more room, I'd say 800w of good led for that size at least, I know you want to be able to cover area with 1000 w of high power led, I have 600w in 4x4 and its banging.

to guess I'd say approx 10-12
Hey bro, do you know if the aliababa suppliers using sasan and souel chips are any good? I'm sure they aren't as good as samsung lm301's but do you know if they are close? Or am I just going to grow some air buds that all foxtail? Any advice appreciated!

Apart from gaining efficiency from lower temps, lower hanging height etc. It also means you can use simple alu sheet for sinking, just buy boards, should be no more than 20$ per board plus shipping for lm561c white only unless they are gauging on this current shortage. Buy boards in china, run at 60 w, get some alu sheet and drivers locally and you got a killer setup for next to nothing.

20$ boards can be seen as expendable, get a spare one if something breaks and forget about warranty. Need help with the build just post in the china board knock off thread.

Meijiu and kb are usually solid, if you want extra colors reds uv go for kb and their qb11 clones. Happy hunting

Btw this is my official current us hlg advice for a 4x4 if you prefer going that way, i urge you to consider these aswell. Full hlg backup and after service, and all the power and sprwd you might need. Remember RIU10 discount code.

I hear Costco is not taking any returns on toiletpaper and handsanitizer, as freshly unemployed regret spending their last cash on it. The End Times are apparently also the time of no backsies.

Wickr is probably a moot point as i dont have a connect and we are almost under martial law here, you get stopped by security and fined/jailed if you dont have a valid destination. My friends laughed at me when i suggested drone-delivery weed but i would have made a killing now.

Dispensaries are still open out here in Colorado. Medical necessity lol
I came across a post where you described quantum boards causing cal / mag deficiencies as well as light bleaching. I use a 480W in a 4x4 and have been having a tough time adjusting the height and power of my board. I'd love for you to drop some knowledge bombs on me!

Transpiration depends on stomata aperture, open stomata means the plant will draw water. The stomata opening depends on a whole load of things: temps/hum or really VPD
    Spectrum and light intensity
    Total photosynthesis
CO2 levels: more co2 less aperture.

General advice is to do all changes slowly, to see what new growth look like before you make more changes in the same direction.

Thanks for responding. I'm quite sure my problems were low humidity in combination of my light being too close. Plants are doing amazing now.

It will work fine, around 250w, with some alu backing. But shop around, contact suppliers for quotes + shipping cause shipping included it would go up to around 180$; you can probably get something with more value. Check out the Fotop thread for info and parmaps.

    Sweet. Thanks g
it'll be 90 watts not 50 left over, thinking I'll parallel the starboards to get current down to 525mA for a combo circuit
Two HLG-120H-C1050B's each running 4 strips in series for a 2.5x2.5. When I am ready to expand to a 2.5x4 I'll use the remaining 50W left over on the drivers to run individual starboards and to round out the spectrum.

    Did you like the Vestas?

I plan on using it for garden veggies and weed so I thought this would be better than being fixed with one spectrum and having to double down on equipment.

Opinion on the vestas? I think i wanted them to do really great when we tested out a few spectrums and in the end they did more or less the same as most of the other things we tried. I was very prepared to be wowed but i wasnt.

But one good thing is you get a lot of diodes for not very much$$$.

Yeah cheap and readily available. Tough to find stuff that is recommended by the masses, even worse when its new.

How many 2 foot Vesta strips would you run in series with a cc driver? Also what setup do you have or would you use to adjust color spectrum? Did you incorporate dimming and if so how?

Random mentioned most PCB's tend to max out at 2-3 in a row for a max of about 50V for most PCB's.

I am totally new to builds, like a fresh born baby so any help would be greatly appreciated.

It kinda depends on what wattage and amount of strips you wanna run. Did 2 in series on 50ish volt cv drivers and didnt like how many connections that turned into. Maybe 4 in series and then several parallel strings would be better. Also depends on what wagos you got, we were out of 8way wagos which didnt help.

For spectrum controls: we didnt use dimmer, we had the different spectrums separated using parallel so w could run either 5000, 2700 or both at half power.
Yeah, I use it(Vigosol) also as foliar spray mixed with some other phytosolution products like Phytogreen-"Booster" or Phytogreen "Plantosol"(both contains lots of N and kelp extracts with aminoacids, fatacids and other usefull stuff). Phytogreen "Algensaft" is pure kelp extract. All products are 4-6€ so a lot cheaper as grow-shop stuff.
If you refer to the same E3ay dealer as I do ... he still has a few other useful things.
    For example,
1kg of powdered Humin and Fulmin acids for only 12.90 € or a
molasses and seeweed based herbal bio-fertilizer with additional 1% Mg and 1% Ca, very useful when you have plants under LED's.
    3,90€/0,5l, also available in 5l can's.

I found it thru www.phytosolution.de as they seemed more easy to contact and non-paypal payment options but ill look into the stuff of this ebay seller.

To be honest i really enjoy youre postings and i try to look out for them. Being in the EU, outside Murica, means a lot of thinngs arent available so one has to make due with alternatives.

I also saw (i think) on some thread youd been looking into alibaba ultralow K meatchip ledstrips which look really interesting, get in touch if you end up getting some. Thanks for all the info and sorry if i bugg you with too many questions ;)
All my plants love it, from my 2m high kite trees to the very small succulents like the penny trees. All are grown much better in the past year since I add this Vigosol stuff to the water and for the price there can't do something wrong. I fact, I have found an almost dead Ficus Alii on the compost heap and it starts to recovery immediately after feeding it with a cpu of tea and a few ml's of Vigosol.
I brew also my own beneficial worm teas with a hand full of earthworm castings, 10ml of EM Urlösung and 15ml of bio-molasses per gallon, brew that mix for 2-3 days at 25°C.
Add 1cup of the tea per gallon water, then add your other nutes.
