Ok, then forget about the third board. All you have to do is to figure out the hanging and then connect again using series connection. Driver + first board +, first board minus second board plus and then second board minus back to driver minus. The trick is to figure out how much wire to use...
Generally for spread id rec 3 boards over 240 driver for that space. Spreading the watts out a bit means a bit less hangheight and more light onto cannopy. If youre already setting up for small plant/big plant youd be able to use 2 boards on 1 plant even angling the second board in. And since...
What youre talking about is just hanging several single boards but with one large driver. The only issue here would be the wiring, not pulling it out of the pushins while working around it. You can hottglue a wago onto one of the heatsink fins so that youre main wiring is going into the wago and...
Start a thread, put down space size, vented or sealed, and budget and theres a good few peeps here that can help.
If youre struggling with finding parts like drivers why not try octapart, search engine for part nrs between different distributors.
Im pretty sure that qb96 spectrum has been changed from what it used to be, used to be higher 660 than 630 peak if im not remembering bonkers. I like 90cri phosphors to target 630 though, the 630 diodes tend to be crappy ppf/w
The qb96 has red supplementation of both 630 and 660nm which is somewhat different to most other boards made by HLG and the like. White + 660 boards usually end up with a bit of a dip around 630nm.
Its a bit pointless though. Qb96 is a board made for high watts and have chunky heatsinks. There arent that much efficiency benefits in running it soft as the midpower boards.
+1 DIYer :)
Diying gives you the possibility to make any light configuration you want, specifically for your situation.
On ppfd and spectrum: personally i like very much fannying about with spectrum. No, spectrum wont change yield very much but it can bring up quality and speed up flowering...
Could you give a bit of info on those pcbs? Like what diodes do they take in what combo and price and aource? They look really nice. I quite like the 4up options
To solder a mono diode is something you learn in 2 or 3 tries. And to solder leds to pcbs is not that much harder; i know people who just tried and did it. There are several diy ways; even with a frying pan, hairdrier or panini oven.
Id defo recommend trying to solder together a mono string to...
Theres a very helpfull document back in the thread posted by hyrootz (i think?) it resumes a lot about perched water tables and wicking in purpose of the ppk system.
Its quite different but the way it describes how media and water reacts is the same.
