  • Take a look at my set-up in my journal. I would vent your hood like I did, straight through. Adds for better ventilation, and an overall colder temp. With that being said, it won't matter, because it will all be being pulled through the same line. I would put the stronger rating cfm on the carbon filter though
No, that won't be enough. Look into inline fans, Vortex is top of the line, with a 10 year warranty I believe. I got one that was half the price that came with a 5 year warranty from my local store. Inline fans tend to have a truer cfm rating. And those HID's really get hot. I have 2 Kwatts on my flowering side, and my temps never go under like 85 during the day. And thats the minimum.. And I have a 265 cfm blower on one end of the lights, which is connected to a 265 inline on the carbon filter on the other side. I also have a 9kBTU protable a/c in there. If I didn't have these 3 things, my room would never be under 115 degrees with the lights on. Interpret the heat issue as you want, but my advice is to not take it lightly. It will only benefit you in the long run having a cooler room.
