Yeah they started out a little stretched but they filled out a bit. I notices the foam piece you were using to hold up the sprout. I wouldn't advise to use that type of material as algae and mold could grow on it from prolonged moisture exposure. An for lighting 100 watts for your first plant...
Yeah I noticed his yellow roots as well I'm pretty sure that there suppose to be more of a whiteish color. But besides that the plants seem strong and healthy.
Slight nute burn could be likely but no to worry the damage isn't severe at all. But if the problem persists and worsens then refer to this troubleshooting guide which is quite helpful. here:joint::mrgreen:
Plants are looking pretty good! They don't seem to have any sort of imperfections. An once you start flowering I'd suggest a DIY in-line carbon filter on your exhaust. Though you may need more static pressure to force the air through the active carbon and the rest of the ducting you have in...
thanks man i've thought about doing this just haven't had the time to actually create one myself. if i hink it needs anything i'll modify it and of course re-post it with the change log.
Just do it properly twist together, use a wire nut if you have any for a secure connection and good contact, then seal with electrical tape. and remember to keep electricity up high and the water down low because they don't exactly mix well.:blsmoke:
Do you use some sort of ducting with your exhaust because if you do you could add a inline muffler. I'm not sure if you've heard of GrassCity but i have seen an excellent tutorial on how to construct one here.
Yeah thats my idea exactly. An it could be scaled to an even larger system with the right materials, but seeing how i don't think I'd be leaving it unattended very long its not required. Thanks for the suggestion i think i might do that somehow.
True about the circulation issue I never thought of that cause can't stagnant water produce algae. The way I was think it's more or less gravity fedBasbthe external resevoir is higher than the root mass container. With the water inlet into the root container being the shorter of the two air...
