A friend of mine who recently went to oaksterdam university was told by the resident growers not to use the vented hoods. They told him that every 3-4 days enough dust builds up on the glass plate that you loose almost 1/2 of your lumens. They have to constantly be cleaned. They recomended just using a good a/c set up to keep the temp down.
