is an air cooled tube that much cooler than a air cooled reflector? also is a lumatek electronic ballast a good choice?

My plan for ventilation is to get a reflector with 6 inch air cool openings and using a duct fan.

I am looking to buy a new light and i can't decide between a 250 watt hps or a 400 watt hps. The dimensions of my space are about 3.5 ft high, 2.5 feet wide and 2 feet deep. Which one should i get? and also what is the difference in heat output?

i want to make cannibutter and i have some bud im going to put in it and i also have a bag full of trimmings that are probably 6 months old and stems so i was just wondering if the old trimmings and stems would make it taste bad or anything?

i have had my plants on 12/12 for about 2 weeks now and i have had one male but the others are not showing anything yet, on my previous grows they usually have shown by now...is it normal for it to take this long or is something wrong?

the top fan leaves and the new growth at the top of my plants are all pointing straight up and the edges are curling in a little bit...is this a sign that it is too hot in my room?

so are you saying that i should just mix the two separate and add them at different times or are you saying that i should stop adding nutes when i start adding molasses?

so when i start adding the molasses do i keep putting in my nutrients just like i was before?

im worried to wire anything myself cause i dont really wanna burn anything down lol ill think about that though...do u know anything about that whole thing i said about the CFL?

would i have to wire them myself or are they pre-wired to somthing i could use?

im wondering if anyone knows of any hardware store like homedepot that would have a fixture that would work for a hps light, even a smaller wattage such as 100 or so, i know i can go to a grow store but everything is really overpriced at the one near me so i was just wondering....or if anyone...

i am thinking of getting a 150 watt hps system for a little closet without very much much space, i am wondering how close i can have this light to the tops of the plants without burning them?
