I harvested 8.7 Oz. today. I'm growing 8 radishes per tray now instead of 10.
In post # 3 I stated: "I keep running into the need to water occasionally with Epsom salt, if not I run into a Mg deficiency in the leaves."
Turns out I am seeing the same yellowing on a leaf or two in the early...
I use a combination of trim and buds. I actually run 160 g, 80 g strain it then run another 80 g of fresh material a second time. I use a lot, but I have a high tolerance. The other posters have me wondering if I should run a test batch for 4 hours instead of 8.
I do things in a similar fashion except I run the crock pot on low for 8 hours and figure it decarbs while cooking. Each session the weed gets really stinky for 5 or 6 hours. I have a wine press that I use with cheese cloth to squeeze out the liquid. I'll also take the refrigerated block of...
IDK what other people use per 350 ml of coconut oil when slow cooking in a crock pot.
You used 3.5g of weed? Doesn't sound like much. My method is different and includes water, but I run 80 grams of weed through 500ml of coconut oil them separate and run another 80 grams of weed. A strong dose...
I don't know about lowering sodium levels but the soil I ran that for 6 years, the soil test shown in post # 7 with extreme levels of Ca and Mg only failed the last grow and I started over.
I have very hard water and mix it 50/50 with ro to lower the 500-ppm water. It has lots of calcium and Mg. I'm wondering if this is why my soil builds up so high in Ca and Mg after a couple years of use.
Radishes are a lot like cannabis as far as soil preference. I'm going to water with ro to...
8.1 oz harvested today. Averaging bout a pound a month.
We are going to see the Wizard of OZ at the Sphere in September.
I think it's going to be awesome.
I enjoyed skimming the links and kept my mind open to the science. I saw that also about the 4 ft distance. That is standard for a warehouse grow with 50 or more 1000w cheap hps bulbs. Not sure what size the grow was that was using that distance.
A lot of these studies are heavy in references...
No. It's a HLG 120H-54A QB 288 (124 W) running at 100% 15" from the canopy at this time. They will grow another inch or two closer before harvest.
This is all I have to test light intensity lol.
A tray of 10 radishes weighed 243.3 grams on one scale, 8.6 oz. on the other.
The big one came in at 49.6 grams and 1.7 oz. on the other scale.
I decreased the # of seedlings in the newest tray to 8 giving them more space.
I took 2 gallons of soil and mixed in 6 TBL of 0-5-0 bat guano about 10 days ago. Each active radish tray also received a TBl.
I used the rapitest soil powder kit to test the original soil and the soil with added guano. This guano is quite old, but it was stored well and seems to still be...
I think I finally see where I was messing up feeling the need to leach the soil on a more regular basis after each grow. I was using my own EWC for many years while re amending my old soil. I stopped creating my own EWC a couple of years ago and started buying the cheap bagged castings. It's the...
I got the new soil test. Mg Ca and S are all high. I was surprised how low P is. I have some old 0-5-0 bat guano and added a TBL to the newest tray. I'm going to gather a sample of the soil before it was amended, and have it tested to see how it compares. I have about 50 gallons of the leached...
Looks overpriced unless it can be found for less than $25 a pound. Most quality dry fert mixes average $25 or less for 5 lbs. Should work well though aside from the price.
Here is the soil test from 2021 of the soil I ran for about 6 years. The 2nd to last grow with that soil was in my signature, Homebrewer called it an excellent grow at the time.
