  • Thanks for super prompt response. You are truly a wealth of information! Just to give you a quick rundown... I am currently using a 1000Watt MH lamp during veg and then 1000Watt HPS during flowering. Also, inducing CO2 at 1200PPM. (I have noticed an incredible difference in weight compared to last harvest not having CO2) One concern is definitely my yield amounts but also my electrical bill. These are really the primary reasons for my switchover to LED. Your yields are incredible! Because heat is no longer an issue with LED do I still need to be worried about the 21" spacing between the plants and light? Regardless I am definitely going LED... Will the price remain at 1099 for the 318W?
    They also use a 60 degree lens, to make sure that all of the light goes down to your plants, instead of in your eyes or at your walls. I'm not sure how much HPS you're currently running, but using a single 126W panel, I can produce far more than 1.5 ounces of bud. With these LED's, we are seeing 2.5' tall plants that are likely to yield up to 8 oz's when harvested in a few weeks. Anyhow, if you want more information on the lights, go to www.hydro-grow-led.com
    Yield is always going to be dependent on multiple factors, one of which is lighting. Most LED grow lights on the market lack the ability to bloom well, because they use a 120 degree viewing angle. At 120 degrees, the LED doesn't have a lot of penetrative ability, making it difficult to get large, stacked colas. A 120 degree LED emits light in nearly every direction, meaning that 30-40% of the light from it will never make it to your plants. Some lights also use incorrect colors, like orange in their lights, which do little to nothing for plant growth. The lights I use are made specifically for our plants, using as close to the exact nm, of every absoprtion point for photosynthesis as possible. (Part 2 Continued in next message)
