  • intake at the bottom of the container exhaust at the top and make sure there not directly across from each other you want turbulence in there so that the air mixes and all the heat is taken out not just the heat in between the space where your fans are which is what happens when there directly across, so if i re did mine the intake would be in the bottom corner and the exhaust would be on top in the opposite corner diagonally. what are you going to use for fans? if you end up going with CFLs and want to grow 3 AF'S 4 26w 6500k bulbs and 4 26w 2700k bulbs would do fine for the whole time all you would need would be 2 light sockets and 6 Y split sockets to run the 8 bulbs
i was thinking about useing a rubbermaid about the same size as yours, maybe a bit taller. But im not really restricted to a spesific amount of space and could build a grow box from other materials. Im only gunna be growing 2-3 plants at a time. i am going to be growing some autoflowing ak-47 so im thinking that should be plenty of space since they are small plants. i was talking with my dad and he said he has some grow lights but they are in storage at the moment so i cant wait to see wat they are.
well compact florescent are the cheapest overall they cost more to run than the led panels but those are 54$ a panel for the cheapest ones and they lack intensity, and HID's like HPS and MH are real expensive not to mention the cost of ventilation electricity and the space that's required to run them. I have only ever used the Cfls but there are benefits to each system it sounded like you wanted to go the way I did. So how much space are you working with? And how many plants are you looking to grow? those would be the first two questions you need to answer.
hey once you get a grow going let me know I would be more than happy to sit in on it and steer you in the right direction if you need it.
