Mmmmm nice and vague thats the way i like questions asked of me... haha. Sorry couldn't resist. Hey man i'll definitely tell you how i made it but please try to be extra specific with me because it makes it easier for me to tell you exactly what you want to know in my answer. Basically all i did to make my vertical HID cool tubes was to buy a security light and gut it. Then repackage the contents in a metal conduit box while lengthening the wires to the socket by splicing in a heavy duty extension chord. I saved the three prong plug from the extension chord and hooked it up to the positive and negative wires of the security light and plugged it in. It sounds more complex than it is, but you really are just lengthening the distance from the socket to the ballast so its easier to work with and mount elsewhere. It also removes the heat produced by the ballast from the grow room.
If you're asking me how i made the cool tube, thats even easier. I picked up the candle chimney at a thrift store and then used a 5" to 4" duct reducer and some weather stripping to create an airtight coupling and attached it to some 4" ducting and then to my blower fan. To hang the socket in there i found some hanger wire at home depot and made four odd shaped "U" fingers if you will and attached them to the socket with a metal cinch clamp that is used for pvc fittings. Then just hung it on the inside of the glass chimney.

Well that's it let me know if you have any other questions.

    Smoote
