You can limit thermal runaway with CV drivers by setting max voltage while the light has no air movement after heating up for 3-4 hrs. Use the VO screw to turn down voltage until you start to slightly dim it. Should limit thermal runaway. P.S. only works on A type driver. Possibly AB type as well.

Bump that temp up to 28c-29c. Use a fan speed controller to slow down your exhaust to get temps up. Noticing any deficiencies at all?

The boards in the hlg 550 are ran at 2300ma. The VF is around 51 VDC. So you are looking at about 117 watts per board.

Look into Autec as well. Moons makes the best driver around besides Phillips.

HPS and LED can be combined. Just make sure they overlap appropriately. Due to DE hps requirements I would run the LEDs at the same height. In a grid pattern the spectrum should mix nicely. 36" above canopy seems ideal.

These come with the driver inside the new shiney housing :) Similar spec to strip as far as spectrum goes. Switching led brands but wavelengths are pretty much the same. We aren't ruling out a UV-B option but it is again costly and extra costly if we include glass.

Osram SSL. Luminus is in testing. I think they have the best 470 currently.
