Thermoelectric wine cooler drying and curing - DIY

The built in TEC will cycle to maintain temp, and if the room gets too hot it may have difficulty keeping up, but that would be around 90f and higher from what I’ve seen. That is when I have my target temp at 12C, or about 55F. Some people run at 20c which is what the Cannatrol default is, so...

Thermoelectric wine cooler drying and curing - DIY

I used to use Boveda packs but don’t now, I have grove bags I put them in after drying and curing until I need the space in the cooler again. The smell and taste is great, you will see soon enough, I get compliments all the time.

Thermoelectric wine cooler drying and curing - DIY

I have done both hang drying first and just putting them in directly after harvest, I don’t hang dry first anymore. I have been setting my temp at 12C and lowering rh by .5 to 1% a day, starting at .5 and going quicker if I want after the first few days. Watch the water drip tray the first few...

Thermoelectric wine cooler drying and curing - DIY

Looks like it’s working exactly as it should. The starting rh will be determined by how wet the bud is going in, mid to high 70’s is normal.

    Is this bud rot

It’s ok to water daily when they need it, I’ve seen plants outside need watering 3 times a day. If you can see they are dry and/or feel the weight of the pot, by all means give them water.

    Is this bud rot

That’s generally a sign of bud rot, check them well and get rid of any mold as it can spread quickly. Sometimes it’s hard to see if inside the bud itself. best of luck, it’s very discouraging but keep with it, we’ve all had it happen.

    SIP’n with Hook Daddy

It’s been 7 weeks since flipping to 12/12. The puck is still putting on weight, I think she may finish around 10 weeks. She’s getting some nice frost and is super sticky with a burnt rubber skunk smell with fruity undertones. I top dressed with a couple handfuls of tomato tone and top watered...

    Seed Germination strategy 2024

I soak seeds in a glass for 12 hours or so, then put in a small pot with soil and water. I have used H2O2 and not, it doesn’t hurt to use the peroxide I’m sure, can’t say I’ve seen a bid difference in germ rates, they usually sprout either way. One thing I’ve noticed, when you start soaking...

    Have I gone too far

IMO you have about 3 weeks left, they look fantastic, it would be a shame to chop them now. Lots of white hairs, and the buds will fatten up. Unless you have a mold problem I’d wait.

    Blaze & Daze

Well, I didn’t get as much work done as I wanted, but it’s a beautiful night and I’m done working. Time for a bowl and a glass of wine, got some hot sauce ready to bottle so might do that later.

I really like it, esp the CO2, temp and rh all in one place. It’s the Inkbird IAQM-128w, and is wireless so I can check the numbers from anywhere. I’m

    SIP’n with Hook Daddy

It’s 6 weeks from flip now, and the plants are all doing well, the GT has finally slowed down the stretch, I still have to keep pulling branches lower but less and less often. The Malawi is starting to bulk up a bit, and the Puck is just cruising along, getting frosty and sticky and smelling...

Growing Landrace indoor -- WHY? What's the Appeal??

I grow sativas for the buzz I remember growing up. I don’t care how long they take, I just grow for me and friends. I like the more energetic, fun, laughing high. I have Ace’s Malawi and Golden Tiger going now, along with a C&C Puck. They are at 6 weeks, I hit them all on 2 branches with a...

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

Yes, I have put seedlings straight into 17 gallon sips without a problem. Top water them lightly as needed to get the roots started.

How long do landrace sativas take to finish???

If I was generalizing for landrace sativas I’d say more like 13-18+ weeks. Most indicas take 10 weeks.

If you have a harvest right you’re all set. Several people here using them as well, I’m just waiting on pulling the trigger to buy one.
