The plants are looking spectacular. I like the way you have them cleared of leaves for the first part of,the stalk coming out of the ground. Easier access for watering etc, and optimum airflow. We are all just bonsai wannabes… the new light is awesome, if I needed another light (I have...

Mephisto 3 Bears OG outdoors at my wonderful GF house

Day 63, planning on chop on Sunday. They are looking healthy and the trichomes are cloudy, with some amber showing. There are still a few white pistils here and there, but I’d rather take them a bit early this time of year…going late gets ya into prime caterpillar and bud rot season around...

Easy opening long term flower storage container for person with RA?

Yes, very easy to open and close. So much easier than a shelf full of mason jars…

    Mango Smile, day 1

Plucked just a couple caterpillars off them today, but once they show up it is hell getting rid of them, so the outdoor plants are gonna come down in the next couple days. The buds are all coated in tricromes that are 90% cloudy and 10% amber. I could wait a week, and maybe gain another few...

    Mango Smile, day 1

Yeah, outdoors is more work, and poses problems I don’t ever experience indoors (mold/bud rot/caterpillars and other bugs). I wish I had the space for an 8 ft tall tent so I could keep taller plants inside for their full cycle, but alas I don’t. I only move them outdoors if they fill the...

Those are citronella candles; i never light them, just let the airflow bring the fragrance into the enclosure. Keeps bugs away. I take them out when I am couple weeks from harvest to let the plants air out without them in place.

    Mango Smile, day 1

Day 60, taken with macro lens during the golden hour - last hour of daylight. Casts a nearly horizontal barrage of light which with the right subject and orientation yields no shadows, or something like that. the advertised harvest period for these is 75 - 90 days, so I'm gonna be patient and...

Osprey cooperating nicely...these will be headed south soon. I found a website that tracks the migration of several of these that have been fitted with GPS transmitters. Some go as far south as Costa Rica. at the same time they are migrating southward out off this area, the eagles start to...

10 frames per second with a Nikon D500 and 500mm lens

A friend was here for a few days with his Nikon gear (bunch of lenses and bodies), and we were blessed with the conditions. As an added bonus, the Golden Hours (1 hr after sunrise and 1 hr before sunset) coincided with the morning and evening low tides, so lots of shore birds flitting...

    Mango Smile, day 1

Day 51; inside vs. outside. Same strain, same germination date, same feeding schedule. Outdoor plants were indoors for the first 4 weeks, then moved outdoors where they’ve been sheltered from storms by a portable greenhouse I bought. The inside plants are getting nailed with a mix of light...

Mephisto 3 Bears OG outdoors at my wonderful GF house

I like photographing birds and other wildlife. Will be out and about this week so stay tuned. in the meantime here is a long overdue update on these beauties…they spent the day on the covered porch during heavy storms. They are still easy to move around in the milk crates, so the pampering...

    Mango Smile, day 1

Outside plants, day 46 as well. These are the lankiest plants I’ve ever grown; 90% saliva so that is no surprise. Gave the top of the soil a good scuffing with a BBQ fork to improve percolation, and they will get a top dressing of EWC as well tomorrow. another awesome day of weather ahead...

    Mango Smile, day 1

Day 46, inside plants. The taller one is at the limit vertically; I’m keeping the LED suspended above at around 50% power, and will tinker with the lighting periods for the T5s that surround them in the tub. the shorter one sits on a stand in the tub, so it has a good deal of headroom left. I...

Yeah, the airpots allow for some awesome rootball development. When I was using them, I’d sit them in a drip pan, and about 15 minutes after I finished watering use a turkey baster to suck the drainage out of the drip pan. Keeps the roots at the bottom out of standing water/feed, and I used...
