    Carbon Filters

Kinda could. 6 inch filter 6 inch pvc every 1.5 feet a threeway joiner. You could make a line of them and as they clog another one takes the load. Totally impracticle for cost and time saved to swap out a filter. If you need huge capacity others have shown the big grow center filters.

First time ever grower wants to do hydro ...

I was told by a few Rdwc that my choice of 1 inch Id was to small and would clog. That is even smaller. After thinking about it I am going to add a valve in the reservior to reverse water flow in the order of buckets. Roots are not going to climb into the water in port against the flow but will...

    How Does Your Garden Grow??????

Used to grow about a 1/2 acre but with age and back problems I do tomatoes only for the house. Morgage lifter tomatoes. Trained up a fence you can get 1000lb from 4 plants. About a 100 with a Cage.

Fan blowing air into tent from top (with LED)

The reason you use pcv and not flex duct is the airflow resistance of smooth wall pcv is very low. There are websites that can explain and even have data on resistance per foot and for a 45 or 90 turns. In addition your idea has merit but for a short part of your grow. Early on you need air...

DWC Changing the reservoir under scrog net

At the recommendation of a master grower I am making a dam around the exit of all 3 containers that will stop wandering roots from finding the hole in the bucket. It will not stop a verticle decent by the roots but once they hit the floor they will not climb until the root mass is 3 inches tall...

Fan blowing air into tent from top (with LED)

Others have posted ideas for airflow diagnostics like lit cig along zippers and filling tent with huge vape hits and turning on fans. Never done it. I can track humidity and temp at 4 locations in grow area. I keep controller sensors at canopy level and have pretty acurate growee sensors in...

Fan blowing air into tent from top (with LED)

That is what will draw from the tents lower and cooler air. It will not pull as much humidity down but keeps temp up. Are you doing this to keep your temp up while venting the tent?

WC I am not sure. If the vents are left open how do you control temp in the tent?

Fan blowing air into tent from top (with LED)

Do you have a proper duct fan under control of a timer or app? Just setting a fan in front of an open pipe sounds like an insect prevention nightmare. If you have a standard duct extraction fan that ends at a carbon filter put it on top of the tent with a board of wood. Run the duct into the top...

Light stress and LED dimmable lights?

Get a lux meter and look at your plants and write a journal to track. The settings for your plants are not in any book/guide/thread/or post. There are to many variables for strains/nutes/grow media for anyone to tell you what to set the light at. I am also a nub but after failing I learned that...

Fan blowing air into tent from top (with LED)

Run a duct from the top exit and pipe it with 4 inch pvc to the bottom of the tent. Follow a tent pole down to the bottom. The " air " will now exit the tent from the bottom. I have my extractor fan and filter on the top of the for clearance as it is a short tent. Based on this thread that is...

    The Highest You've Ever Been....

As a high tolerance medical user I go from pleasantly medicated to greened out anxiety if I try to push it. In the past I remember some really high times but it always seemd to have another component to the mix. Pot and booze. Pot and opiods. highest was starwberry margaritas and hash oil...

First time ever grower wants to do hydro ...

From what I have read ice really only works for peak temp issues like a spike in temp during summer that will last a week. Icing a dwc every 4-6 hours for 16 weeks takes more discipline than I have.

First time ever grower wants to do hydro ...

My tent is so small and with the panel that goes in it the placement is predetermined. I am cramming them in and they are very close. Btw you are going to get your temps down and stable in the 65-68f range. Not only to prevent rot but for oxygenation of the solution.

First time ever grower wants to do hydro ...

It depends. If you are using a lux meter and are converting it to that value via one of a few apps then it is important to ensure the correct spectrum selection. I have a BT tool like about everyone. I uaed this app to verify the loss of light at the edges and the hot spot in the middle. It...
