How much pH down were you using? That's a shit ton of calcium and you're increasing it's availability by introducing acid to the mix. Try diluting with 50+% RO water and not adjusting pH.

Gotta use a bunch of sticky traps to really make the microbe lift work. Mites and nematodes work great in soil but seem to only half work in Coco. And if you're infested you gotta up the rate to 1-2 tbsp (5-10 ml) per gal. Gnatrol seemed to work better but it's kind of a pain to mix. Go crazy...

I'm pretty sure I've heard of people playing with sulphur for this exact reason and if my stoned memory serves me it *may* help increase aromas but doesn't unlock funk
