    Homemade AC unit

So the tent sits in your typical bedroom on the top floor. There is a ceiling AC vent. The door opens into the upstairs hallway. I have a tent with an ACI S6 that exits out of the top of the tent and points toward what would be the crack of the hinge of the door. These are the parameters I'm...

    Exausting outside of grow room

Hmm yeah if you are already struggling with high humidity then homemade AC would only make it worse. I guess an actual AC unit would help though as it would condition the air and cool simultaneously, though expensive. I'm assuming this room is connected to the actual house. Could you vent to...

    Exausting outside of grow room

Even a container with some frozen 2 liter bottles in it near the intake will help cool it. If you have a booster fan even more so. Try not to overthink it as often there are very simple solutions that we just can't visualize yet. Also there are always people more creative than you so someone...

    Exausting outside of grow room

Do a lot of research. I'm also working on cooling my home office which has my tent and it's 82 degrees currently. Maybe start by trying to cool the room itself? Air movement gets technical fast as air doesn't always circulate the way we imagine it does. Start by cooling the room and maybe some...

    Homemade AC unit

So I switched to a 430w light and the heat it's putting out at 60% is killing me in my office. I've seen people make homemade AC units which is basically a fan and an ice source. Does anyone have a homemade unit they are proud of? I was going to start with just a simple oscillating fan blowing...

Why are all oscillating fans garbage?

Wouldn't the closest plants get way too much wind and or none at all depending on the angle? My plants don't even like my fan pointing at them on the lowest setting. So you're angling it down slightly and the air is reflecting off of the tent wall and then disperses amongst the rest? I'm...

Why are all oscillating fans garbage?

Yeah but I really like the oscillation for the even coverage. Though if this Honeywell breaks I can just remove the base and run it high in the tent like you are I suppose. I've found plants windburn very easily so I have the fan on its lowest setting pointing toward the wall.

Why are all oscillating fans garbage?

Shit I cant find one quiet reliable fan and you're advocating 3 rofl. Got any recommendations and how long have you been using them? The issue is noise as my tent is also in my office. The Honeywell tower fan has amazing fan coverage, but the stand is really tall and it's gotten a bit louder...

Why are all oscillating fans garbage?

I used it for like 2 grows. You cant take apart to clean and over time the motor going back and forth got worse and worse just like all of the others. I love all the other ACI stuff but holy shit I'm worried the engineering behind the oscillating concept is just flawed in general because all...

Why are all oscillating fans garbage?

I need to rant because I'm so sick of all of these garbage oscillating fans. I swear I have to buy new ones constantly as they start quiet and wind up loud as fuck. Clicking, whirring, popping. I've tried all of the usual suspects and they always wind up garbage. So far the best one has been my...

Best ACinfinity light that can fit in a 2x4?

I'm honestly thinking the SF G4500. The wide bar design seems to be the way to go. The only other ones were the ACI or the MH someone mentioned earlier.

Best ACinfinity light that can fit in a 2x4?

I'm really thinking of going with the SF 4500. What time of year usually has the best deals on SF lights? I see they are 15% off currently for "July sale" but is that just marketing bs and they are always on sale? I definitely don't want to pay $429 lol. Someone on here had a MH coupon; are...

Best ACinfinity light that can fit in a 2x4?

Mother of God that light is beautiful. I'd burn my retinas out just to stare into its greatness. Is this a 5x5? Also looks like the trellis is rated for a rodeo shit looks sturdy AF.

Best ACinfinity light that can fit in a 2x4?

Damn really shifted my perspective on chasing pure power numbers. I guess it's a desire to maximize yield in my tiny space. I feel things like removable drivers are worth more than additional output, but beyond that I'm not sure what I would want most in a light besides uniform coverage which...

Best ACinfinity light that can fit in a 2x4?

You're spot on with this light. It's really down to either this one or a mars hydro/SF alternative. Edit: mars hydro/ACI

Best ACinfinity light that can fit in a 2x4?

SF G4500 at 1262 PPF or ACI Evo 4 at 1819 PPF. ACI is $27 cheaper and seems to be superior; school me on what I'm missing here please.

Best ACinfinity light that can fit in a 2x4?

This thing is a beast for sure, but how would one even fit that in a 2x4? Also I should have prefaced but I'd like to keep under $400 if possible.
