Bubba Trouble at My Wonderful, Understanding and Awesome Girlfriend’s House

She might be willing to paint an eagle on one of the windows ya have there...in the meantime, she fed the Bubba Troubles today (FF Wk 5) and decided to keep them inside another day since the wx sucks here today. Looking the forecast, I think they'll be moving outdoors on Tuesday; mid 80s and...

Yep, the milk crates and tomato cages are now the standard for me. I have 4 more cages to use on the four plants I have at home, but don’t think they need them… you could space the crates out in a tent, and build a scrog net a gross the tops of them too…I’ll be brainstorming how to do that...

Here they are under a Phlizon my girlfriend‘s extra special and wonderful boyfriend gave her for her orchid corner. she took an old window, painted the eagle on one side, mirrored the back, cut a hole in a door, framed it in and trimmed it out too. Wonderful.

That out of the way, here’s the rundown. these were started 9 April indoors, and are moving outdoors tomorrow. They are in 5 gallon fabric pots, in milk crates. Affixed to the tops of the crates are 4 foot tall square tomato cages. I started LST on these when they were young, and I have...

I switched them around this morning, upstairs to downstairs and vice versa. Figured the downstairs ones could use a break from the more intense lighting, and allowed me to pick the side of the plants that moved from upstairs to face the vertically hung T5 lights. I’ll probably set up a weekly...

Here are the other 2; no signs of distress so the ones downstairs were probably suffering from too much light. I adjusted the upstairs pair to 20/4, and gave them a deluge of plain water as well… the downstairs enclosure has more lighting and better penetration so the plants will probably move...

Yeah, I’m petty stoked…I just got some more 4 foot tall square tomato cages I’m debating on trying here. They’ll definitely be in place for the BT growing at the GFs house. I’ll start a separate thread on those soon. I deluged the plants here with ph 6.7 water (around 1800ml each), and got...

Yeah they are pricey, but I’m sold on them after seeing what they can do in my makeshift tub enclosure. The lighting is a little dim at the ends, but some plant rotation will even things out and the side lighting helps out.

This one is in the original enclosure - the ones I moved upstairs under the COB don’t show this. I think it is light stress, I’ve had them under 24/0 from every conceivable direction…it is like the face of the sun in there… I think I’m gonna switch to 20/4 for a week, then 18/6 for a while...

Foxtails are not necessarily a bad thing at first…more mass and surface area for tricromes…my gut feel. I think I need to start phosphorus loading…whatcha think? Since I’m in flowering that’d be my guess. I have an arsenal of stuff to get in front of this…

another change to the downstairs enclosure; my mind spins stuff in background sometimes and then presto - an idea! I took out the diamond plate and styrofoam containers, and put the plants in their crates in the tub, sitting in some 4 inch plant stands, and changed the orientation of the pair...

Dan, great to hear from ya! Wish the weather would make the final turn to summer soon, but the plants are benefitting from all the side lighting while indoors. The lighting from 90 degrees perpendicular into the plants lets me stretch the lower branches out horizontally out from underneath...

It was getting pretty crowded in the first floor tub enclosure with four plants, and the weather here isnt right yet for them to go outdoors, so my idle mind set about to find an interim solution. bingo! I bought a California Lightworks Extreme 500, grabbed some unused LEDs (a Phlizon and a...

I think the vertical stretch is done and hope that’s the case. The tallest plant still has a bit of headroom left and the weather is predicted to be lousy for the next few days so they’ll benefit from the side lighting they are getting 24/0. I pulled a few more branches down with binder clips...

It is amazing what they do in a day; all the flower sites I cranked downward with LST clips the other day made the 90 degree turn upwards and are completely vertical. Not too many more opportunities for LST with the clips, so now focused on using the crate and some binder clips to extend the...

The tallest one is within about a foot of outgrowing the tub, and the others are not too far behind…I swear the tallest one grew 3 inches over night. Couple days of iffy weather predicted with some heavy rains so they will be indoors for another few days. I’m gonna do some research and...

I’m gonna be bold and declare pre-flower stage; so fed them 800ml NFTG guano tea, let sit for 30 min, then 600ml of ph 6.4 water. I have about a foot of vertical space left in the tub, and then they’ll be relegated to outdoors. Since they’ve been at 24/0 since seedling, I’ll start adding in...

Lots of water followed by FF Wk4, and out into the full sun. I’ll drench them with some more water around mid-day when I move them again. Then back indoors for more lighting overnight. They’ve been 24/0 since seedlings; maybe another week or 2 of LST then let them stretch into flower…

Few more LST clips applied, minor defoliation. Good dose of fish shit and NFTG Athena’s Aminas and ph 6.4 water. One more day in side and out in the sun when it presents itself…
