Is this sphere verified or data sheet? Also at what temperature? If this is flash data with no driver losses then no it's not better. Would be nice of them to share the actual sphere data from an accredited lab.

Sounds like sphere tests are in order. All I can tell you is it's ~5% better currently which means you will need around 50% more leds at any given wattage to match the efficiency vs available Lm301b ...

I can buy 7% more of any led for the same price or less if I buy a lower bin. We pay a premium for the very best but I guess that doesn't matter.

All lm301b are not the same bin as ours. Plenty of lower bins around. HLG gets the best of the best from Samsung direct. Our same leds are not available to distributors or manufacturers. We have a special arrangement with Samsung

Yeah it is a little different than the LM561C boards. The VF is lower and really helps the efficiency numbers. About 2 volts less per board. Strangely enough the power draw is even lower than what it should be on the HLG-550 V2. Should be roughly 2 Volts X 4 boards or 8 volts less X ~2.3A...
