    Help needed! 60x60x150cm growtent

Damn, that sounds awesome. Are you going to monitor anything else, nutes or co2 maybe? The cree site has datasheets and theres a spreadsheet/calculator somewhere on the site that will estimate ppfd and other metrics for a given setup.

Northern Grow Lights Photon 180 Citizen 1825 90 CRI

Thanks man. I veged with under one of these in a 3x3 , then move to a 4x4 under two lamps. Both lamps are 3500k 90 cri. I'm clay pebbles in an airpot on a drip system over a 15l res. the drip soaks the pebbles for 15 min every few hours...

    Help needed! 60x60x150cm growtent

This image is from tastyled.com ( lots of good info on there) You only really "need" 800 PPFD to grow amazing weed, everything after that is diminishing returns. Your 5 cobs will be perfect for your area. Why not get a dimmable driver, you can have as much light as you want at every stage of...

    Help needed! 60x60x150cm growtent

Do you really need 1500 PPFD? To make use of that you would need to be an expert grower. After ~800 PPFD you gain less and less growth and more and more heat for more light. It becomes a bad trade off very quickly if you dont know what you're doing.

Northern Grow Lights Photon 180 Citizen 1825 90 CRI

Got the picks working. I think for my next run with these lamps I'm going to focus on root mass in the veg stage (not sure how I'd do this) so the plant can take up more nutes and water. This is only my second grow and I'm basiclly ecstatic with the results. I got some weed from America last...

Northern Grow Lights Photon 180 Citizen 1825 90 CRI

I had similar deficiencies with these fixtures. I added more cal-mag and PK, raised the lights to 24 inch. I also gave it a watering with some "sweet tea compost " sachet I got for free. This seemed to have notable effect. I still got discoloration on some leaves but buds were unaffected. I...

Listen to this guy. Dont buy any of those panels with shitty diodes. Put all your money into high-quality low-cost fixtures from trusted makers. Replace your shitty panels one at a time if you have to. I did the same and now have a Mars II 900 collecting dust. I "replaced" it with two fixtures...

Cheap and Cheerful DIY using Citizen cobs

You're getting more heat if you add more light, you cant avoid that. You should play around with the calculator the guys use. You will lose some efficiency, but not too much I suspect.

Cheap and Cheerful DIY using Citizen cobs

Dont the Citi's do really well when driven hard? If you ran your cobs at 2100a you'd beat a 600w hps pretty easily I think.

My first closet grow. . 3rd week of flower.

Nobody will try to diagnose issues from those purple pics. You really need to post a pic under natural light.

Roleadro COB - Useful as a supplement light?

"My problem is my budget is under $200. I don't know if this will get me anything worth buying compared to an HID set up." No, not really. No LED you buy for 200 ( or even 400) will compete with a 600w HPS. The fact that you have the cooling gear already makes it a no brainer, go with the HPS...

NGL sent me two completed lamps to Europe. Postage was extremely quick and very reasonably priced. Robin provides great service.

Northern Grow Lights TITAN w/ SST-X and Vero Gen7 72v 90 CRI Grow

You could make some sick looking lamps with those sinks. I'd like to see a black Photon type fixture with two of those sticky out the top. Possibly at jaunty angles. Just a mean looking lamp. Would that work? What would it do to over all efficiency compared to the current active fan set up.

Northern Grow Lights Photon 180 Citizen 1825 90 CRI

Yes, power draw is reduced and you get higher efficency aswell. 2 lights dimmed giving the same total ppfd will draw less power, less heat and be more evenly spread.

    Do your LED's flower faster?

It was my first grow and I had problems throughout. so its probably not fair of me to blame the Mars for the airy buds. No doubt others will get far better results than me. Still, I'm going to convert the mars to cobs as per groumouse's guide on youtube. What cobs are you getting? I just...

    Do your LED's flower faster?

Definitly. I'm using https://northerngrowlights.com/collections/all/products/photon-180clu1825 with Citizen CLU058 3500k 90cri Im on my second run first run was mostly with a Mars II 900. With this run with just cobs from the start I didn't notice a huge difference in veg. Once I hit 12/12 I...
