    What's going on this time??

I did start it under the 300w blurple for the first 7 days, I hoped that it would have been able to take the extra light now it had started growing and would use the extra light?. I've raised it up around 25 inches, can maybe get it to 30 inches away

    What's going on this time??

This is in a tent and I have 2 lights, a sf1000 approx 18 inches away and a unknown brand 300w blurple led right in the top corner.

    What's going on this time??

So after a failed attempt I started again, germinated fine in jiffy pellet etc. Put that into a small pot with b&q Verve multi purpose compost as the all mix I used before was way to hot for seedlings and was one of the reasons they didn't make it. Temps are constant in day at 27 with around...

    How important are heat cycles?

Using a LED light, I'm supplementing heat with a electric heater to keep temps stable. My question is should I still mimic heat cycles i.e. lower temps when lights are off? Or does it make any difference if I keep the temps between 26/27° 24/7?

    Mixing led lights

I started out with a cheap setup kit from Amazon, but after doing more research found that perhaps the unbranded 300w led blurple light would not be sufficient for decent veg or flowering, so I bought a sf1000. Question is can I use both lights simultaneously to increase my light inside the...

    Should I give up?

I am using LEDs, however it was to cold inside the tent when I started so had a greenhouse tube heater running full time to help hold heat and a small electric heater to keep the temp up. Weather has changed drastically this week and temps are high now so was having difficulty keeping them...

    Should I give up?

That's what I was told but mine dried out and the seeds died after cracking open the shell. I replanted the seed In a new jiffy and made sure it stayed moist by means of spraying inside the dome each day and that did the trick.

    Should I give up?

And I have the exhaust on during lights on now to keep temps down, but waiting on delivery of my new thermostat that will open it to keep temps stable

    Should I give up?

Cheers mate, left them in with one transplanted to another soil. Will likely cut my losses but have another seed germinating now so if that takes over then will give up on the first two. Read through your thread to! Doing better than me mate! Best of luck!

    Should I give up?

Unsure if my guage is off but from where the plant is in reletive distance from the light it's between 800-900 lux? I was using biobizz AllMix in 5" plastic pots with good drainage at the bottom. Just transplanted one to the Verve multi-purpose compost from b&q to see if it helps. The older...

    Should I give up?

No I haven't measured the light, I bought a moisture and light metre but it was cheap and doesn't seem to work. I have been wondering about the light though weather it was powerful enough, but weather i have it 20cm away or 80cm away the seedlings never look as though they are reaching for the...

    Should I give up?

After my previous post of asking what was wrong with my plants I'm thinking of starting over. This is about a month old believe it or not, had a shakey start in jiffy tab that dried out as I had been warned about being careful with water and I followed guides which didn't work well for me...

    Newbie with question on seedlings

How much water did you use then in grams? Trying to guage a idea on how much I should water. It seemed before it was not enough, and now to much, I will try and run things a little cooler now and see if it can help. If I could increase the humidity it could help but I dont like the idea of...

    Newbie with question on seedlings

So would you not advise this method then? The way I was watering before they were getting very dry by the evening and were then wiltering by the next morning!

    Newbie with question on seedlings

At the moment the top of the soil is dry but a inch or so down feels like there is a small amount of moisture so should I continue with watering them to run off every time they get dry all the way through which with this method would equate to around every 2 or 3 days?

    Newbie with question on seedlings

Thank you guys, my problem was up until a few days ago i was giving them such small amounts of water for fear of overwatering, which would then obviously dry up very quickly! Meaning I would feel the pot the next day and it was bone dry all the way through! I watered this one most recently...

    Newbie with question on seedlings

Aside from them drying out little quicker than I'd have liked, the jiffy pellets were quite straightforward and simple to use for me as a newbie to this. Looking at this one under normal lights it seems a lighter green rather than yellowing, but the brown curling at the end of the leaf is still...

    Newbie with question on seedlings

Anyone else any suggestions? Was tempted to try to transplant them into another pot with a lighter mix? Or should I just try to see if they adjust to nutrients and come out of it?
