    Environmental controllers

$6?! $20 per tank was the cheapest around me. Some were $35-40 + taxes/fees Unfortunately there are no big dive shops around me. I called a few 30 minutes away, but I'm not near any significant body of water to be a big thing around here. Why would a 20 lb CO2 tank only last a week? Most...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

That sounds like a terrible idea -- mostly from the board standpoint, too much to go wrong. The heat sink of course is pre-drilled for the board but I'd be more worried about board damage in one way or another. They are wired in rows and meant to run at a certain wattage, amp, and voltage...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Thanks @2com for enlightening me on that -- still reading thru it. A little info I've pulled as a take away so far -- it seems that these came out around October of 2018 (so they're brand new), and to hang them I watched in one video where one guy just bent the long corners of the long heat...

Dehumidifer inside vs. outside tent (with CO2)?

@rkymtnman I get that. To each their own -- in this case part of the fun is to see how hard one can push the limits of the system to it's peak efficiency and then continue to improve a little bit more, and then a little bit more, etc. Alter training techniques slightly, change the environment...

Dehumidifer inside vs. outside tent (with CO2)?

Since it was medical journal type format I had assumed they used the formal name of the plant Cannabis Sativa L in the scientific since of the word. They have not provided another subspecies for Indica technically -- even though we all consider it subspecies (as most do) -- science hasn't...

Dehumidifer inside vs. outside tent (with CO2)?

Good info. The journal concluded that: The study reveals that this species can be efficiently cultivated in the range of 25 to 30 °C and ∼1500 μmol m(-2)s(-1) PPFD. Furthermore, higher rate of photosynthesis, water use efficiency and nearly constant ambient CO2 concentration ratio under...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

@booms111 you'll do fine. To be safe, run within the voltage rating for your board and driver and you'll be good. @pop22 threw up a great screenshot of the PDF tables to follow. Does anyone know anything about the QB96 Elites from HLG? Their specs look impressive. Would love to come across...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Like @pop22 points out, there's a large chance you could damage this board. If you're doing this, I would not use it this way for long. As @pop22 suggested before, put a few bucks into a cheap driver. Better yet, get one with a higher mA rating to get more light from your board for larger...

Dehumidifer inside vs. outside tent (with CO2)?

@ Dr. Who -- I love your response. That was simply awesome, I'll probably read it a few more times even. The goal is all about maximum efficiency. I know that some people grow for the largest harvest, biggest monster buds, others for strain variety, whatever... in this case it's all about...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

@booms111 -- just because it can, does not mean it should. You're running 114 volts thru a 110 volt board. Chances are it will be okay if you keep it turned as low as you can crank the dimmer down. Whatever you do, do not try and turn the light up -- too much of a chance to fry a good board...

Dehumidifer inside vs. outside tent (with CO2)?

Picked up two units (one for each flower tent) -- 30 pint Haier compact compressor style dehumidifiers with drain hose connection on the rear. This should work well with the Saturn 6 controllers on the setting selection where you "unlink" temp and humidity so that it does not dump your CO2...

    Low Yield. Why?!

You think so? That's 0.75 g / watt. I figured he'd be closer to 8 oz depending. Maybe I underestimate too much! Haha

Dehumidifer inside vs. outside tent (with CO2)?

I don't think a 30 pint is needed though -- @rkymtnman does your small dehumidifer seem like it's running a lot -- it only pulls 8 oz per day it says. There are some on Amazon that do a bit more. A 30 pint unit is rated for a 1500 sq foot room. This is going in 25 sq foot tents.

Dehumidifer inside vs. outside tent (with CO2)?

Wow that humidity sounds crazy high -- seems like an invite to mold and bacteria to your bud. I've heard that temps upwards of 90 degree's is okay but you do not want temps or humidity levels too high or the stomata will close on your plant leaves (which is how the plant breathes in CO2 in the...

Wow, only 60 watt per board and you get that? Nicely done @pop22 ! Are those QB96's I see in that one pic (it looks like two of them from the sinks)?
