What ec or ppm should I shoot for in veg and flower using the .5 scale for ppm? My medium is hydroton. Does anyone know why I can feed heavy on my aero cloner but as soon as I transplant to ebb and flo hydroton that the nutrients just seem off? Help!

I have rinsed my hydroton very well but I noticed that the package that the hydroton came in says that the hydroton needs to soak in phed water. I did not do that and I’m experiencing a huge swing in ph. I thought hydroton was ph neutral. Does anyone else ph their hydroton?

I don’t understand. Adding more cal mag seem to cause issues. When I added 100ml when I was in flower, the leaves started to yellow and have black dots, almost resembling a banana lol

I take clones off of the same plant, I never have seeds

they are 3 weeks in veg with purple stems. I have the same strains in flower and they all have green stems.

I’ve tried that. I tried to add 100ml to a 55 gallon drum and then I started seeing rust spots on leaves. I now add 1ml per gallon ( which is 55ml)

I thought it was a phosphorus deficiency because the stems are purple

I have a lot of airflow and I water 6 times a day in hydro recirculating

The lights are 5 feet above the plants and it’s only 600 watt metal halide

This happens every time indoors. There are no bugs.

What causes shiny looking leaves? I’m in veg using metal halides about 5 feet away from plants. Some of the leaves look waxy/ shiny. I thought it was the silica I was feeding them, but it happens to my plants in coco.

I use an air stone in my buckets and I’m using a ebb and flow recirculating system. Looks like we live in the same state too. I use general hydroponics as well. Are you using mac strength for recirculating? What’s your ph at?

Okay so yeah I add silica first before anything. And then I add cal mag. I understand that my ph is initially high from adding silica, but after adding in all my nutes after that and I adjust down to 5.4 it just rapidly climbs up in 24 hours. I’ve read that it can take days for a few people to...
