still talking about the garden lime correct ? you only need a tablespoon or so per gallon of mix get the crushed and not pelleted

You Would still need to add perlite or something for drainage. It will be lighter and less rich but it will also hold water like a sponge and you would need to feed .... But thats normal I guess

Hot is just a saying for something too nutrient rich ..... Blood and bone meal are both very very concentrated stuff normally. They would be added after the soil was already depeleted of nutrients

all i can say is try it man ..... they need nitro dont get me wrong but thats really cramming it to them ..... is that a lowes product ? maybe i can find it locally and play with it i would know in a week or so by how seedlings acted

Decided to pull the jiffy pucks out and start over .... ill plant them in 1 gal's or something ...... i just foresee problems down the road i would rather remedy now

that stuff sound like it would be great to plant a established clone in and veg for a couple months on just water but will need some serious tweaking .... maybe it wont be so bad the second time around if you recycled it

it has to be completely mixed or the roots will find hot spots and your plant will have random burns ..... half and half is still 15/5/5 not including whatever you cut it with if not inert ...... i run about 7-5-6 in veg and 5-4-8 in bloom base nutes in almost inert mix

sounds about right alot of people run the fox straight now and dont have problems with it ...... i know if that kellogs is really a 30/10/10 it needs to be cut way down and probably wont need to be fed nitrogen for a while and may still be fixed going into flower

Do a side by side same ratio's of light mix and perlite to kellogs and ffof bongsmilie only way you will know if its worth it to you or not if it was me i would just get some soil amendments some peat ,perlite,lime,and mix the kellogs with that like half and half and start feeding at preflower

have you thought about running coco ? youd have to feed them but nutes are cheap are you using kellogs one these ? i looked it up that shit needs to be cut down sounds really hot... even read some threads on it

im just using sprayers from home depot and a pond pump .... i did cheat and take a drill bit that was 1/32 larger than the nipple on the sprayers and ream it out all the way down including the orifice so it has a larger jet now which doesnt restrict the pump as much and allows it to move volume...

if i have 12 gallons in my res the net pots are 18" or so roughly above the water .... i just have flaps cut out in the bottom of the top tub and the lid of the res .... so the roots will all bridge/mat in the tub, some will work down eventually im sure but dont want to waste anymore vertical...
